I am an avid listener, and I care for all of my clients like I would my own family. I originally got into caregiving because of my great aunt. She got put into a care home and wasn't getting good treatment so it made me want to change that and help others that are in a position like her. I enjoy hearing the stories and life experiences that each client has lived and getting sound advice from them. A personal achievement I'm proud of is not giving up even when I wanted to. One of my client's daughters was so horrendous that all of her mothers other caregivers quit except me. Because I knew how badly she needed someone to look after her. Her daughter was abusive and I had to turn her in to my old agency.

I have more then 5 years of experience working as a CNA and a live in caregiver for home care agencies and have worked in nursing/retirement homes as well. Dependability, reliability, kindness, empathy, calm nature are few of my strongest traits in taking care of my loved ones. I grew up with my grandparents and naturally we take care of our own as it is a cultural thing. I love being around seniors and assist in whatever way I can as they remind me so much of my grandparents who lovingly took cared of us. Making them smile and making them feel comfortable makes me feel complete and happy.

I've worked for Senior living Companies for over thirty years and I love working for Seniors, I have compassion, respect and understanding of seniors. I've been a Chef for Seniors and love knowing that I'm nourishing them, I enjoy entertaining them also, through activities. I also work with Alzheimer residents, redirecting them when they are confused. I became a caregiver when my father was diagnosed with cancer and I didn't want anyone else caring for my father but me & when he passed away I wanted to continue to care for others peoples loved ones as I would my own. When I was a caregiver in a small facility some of my clients we're looking for me and wants me to do their hygiene, helped going to the toilet, dressing up and preparing for their meals. And what mostly I remember was my co-caregiver had trouble with them when it's their shift because they mostly looking for me. It was my flexibility that made them comfortable being with me.
