I thoroughly love what I do. I enjoy working with my clients, which become like family to me. My clients needs and comfort are my number one priority. I am dependable and responsible. After taking care of my mother and father in law who were both treated for cancer. I saw the emotional and physical toll that it takes. I decided that I wanted to help other families with the support they need to take care of their loved ones when in need.

I am a reliable and patient person who provides first class care. I have worked in various roles where the need to work closely with other people, follow strict rules and procedures and demonstrate understanding and empathy have been required. Caregiving has been a rewarding second career. After retiring from the banking industry, my sister who has been an RN for many years inspired me to follow down this path. It is a very rewarding experience, helping people in need and being there for their families.

I started my career being a Caregiver way back 2014 when I was given an elderly client -- both in their 90's; a male and female. One has Dementia and one with Parkinson's disease. Being the person in-charge of taking care of them I make sure that their welfare are always in top priority by giving them care with compassion. My training as Certified Nursing Assistant earned from Mountain View Los Altos Adult Education equipped me to become a confident and competent in this field. At present, I am working full time as Paraeducator at Santa Clara County Office of Education. As Paraeducator, I am tasked to assist the teacher in the Special Education program to manage the classroom and the students -- making sure their academics and day-to-day activities in school and community are met.

Taking care of people has always been something I have done. Even as a child I enjoyed working with all ages of people. I became an Elementary school teacher to work with children. I have raised three children, who are now in college. I have also worked with mentally disabled students and adults. I am patient, friendly and understanding.

I'am compassionate and always happy..I enjoy being a caregiver because I like to help people get throught their day as easy as possible..what I enjoy most about caregiving is the bond that is created with each person you get to work for..An achievement im proud of is me going back to school and getting my license in phlebotomy..

Let me tell you a little bit about myself, I love doing my job at Doctors on Duty. I love the enthusiasm in which some patients come in and joke around with me. I once had a patient that I'm never going to forget, she was a disabled 50 year old woman she was so friendly and had the mind of a 12 year old but she always kept a smile on her face. She came in and needed her flu shot. Once she saw me with the needle she starting moving a lot not wanting to get her shot. I made a distraction for her by speaking to her but once I was done she told me "i'm going to get you back" it was the funniest experience of my life. That opened my mind to how patients are vulnerable and we need to care for them as people not only as an every other day patient. My job as a Medical Assistant is to build a relationship with my patients and care for them as I would for a family member of my own. I believe in the ability of helping others and that is why I decided to be a caregiver.

In raising my children and being a loving husband. I do look back how all three of my children are independent now and doing things for themselves this is a proud achievement. 4.) I am very passionate in caring for an individual with specific needs. I am very humble and proud in what I do. I enjoy telling people of my religion and how I have changed my life around. God is great for me and I am very proud to do what I do for a living. I am punctual, caring, patient, and understanding.

I am very compassionate about helping the elderly . It brings me joy to help others. I started being a caregiver when I was 18 years old since then I've been a caregiver and have had experience with all types of Dementia's and Alzheimer's along with Parkinson's Disease. Also working with a special needs children.

I feel like I am a great caregiver because I have such a big heart. I want to make people smile and laugh even when they aren't feeling the best or up to it. What attracted me to being a caregiver was knowing that I could be someone that counted on. Being a caregiver is not the easiest job in the world. You come across mini different scenarios that you may or may not know how to react to. You have to tell yourself you have to do what's best for the resident. You have to be somebody that is able to give them support through it all. Being a caregiver also has great benefits to knowing that you can go home and think I made that person's day. Or even such as I was the last person they talked to before they said goodbye. I was the last person that they wanted holding their hand as they passed. Bing caregiver is more than just a nurse.
