Hello my name is Luis I'm 22 and have been a caregiver for about 4 years now. I've been able to help clients that have IDD to other disabilities. Being in the job for awhile has taught patience, compassion,and how to be assertive. I've always had younger cousins that I took care of so naturally I just followed what I already knew how to do. When I was younger I used to volunteer at the nursing home and that's another thing that made me realize I wanted to be in this field. I enjoy having the feeling that I get to help someone who can't really or have trouble helping themselves.
