I enjoy being able to help others. I wanted to be a caregiver for others after caring for my grandmother and being able to see the difference it makes in their lives to have someone there when you need them. I would like to help others in the way that I was able to help my grandmother. I have experience with a variety of different duties pertaining to assisting elderly individuals. Helping others makes me happy and I enjoy doing the little things that will help make their lives better. I recently graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and work full-time, but am available for part-time assistance wherever is needed, evenings and weekends.
I have worked in the school district as substitute teacher for four years. Before that I worked as a private Nanny who also did home care work with other family members in the households. I have worked a lot with children with disabilities as a home care giver and as a para professional in the school district. I ran errands, planned schedules, answered phones, took kids to and from activities, and provided meals, helped with toilet training, and bath time. I have also worked with older family members which has always been enjoyable for me. I would drive them to and from where they needed to go, help with groceries, give them medication, laundry, assisted with feedings and other needed things around the house.

Hello my name is Karen Jeffrey. I have been a CNA since 2011. I absolutely love taking care of people. I have worked in nursing homes, but I enjoy doing home healthcare more. I feel like I make more of a difference in home care because I get to know the patient more and can spend more time with them. I am currently working on going to school to further my career as a RN. I have also babysat, cleaned homes, waitressed,, cashier, and caterings.
I have worked with a variety of clients that have depression, multiple sclerosis, Down syndrome, diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and elder care. I was attracted to caregiving because I really enjoy helping others and making a difference in people's lives. I enjoy the relationships that have developed in my experience with being a CNA. I never thought that I would be able to do this type of work, and by having an open mind to try something new, I discovered that helping others is quite intuitive to me as well as extremely rewarding.
I can help cook, help with housecleaning, laundry, errands, shopping, transportation to any kind of appointment, and give compassionate and loving companionship. I love providing home care giving services to those that would otherwise would not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client's day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh. I have done CNA work in the past, I have my Home Health Aide certificate and have been doing care giving services in clients homes for 9 years. I enjoy every day that I can make a difference in someones life.

I am EMT Certified and I am currently enrolled in the Paramedic Program. I have always loved teaching children and watching them grow up. I have a passion to help others that is why I am going into Emergency medicine. I worked at a Christian Academy Preschool for a year and it was the best job I ever had. I was able to spend my whole day with two year olds. I would teach them songs and dances. I would also teach them numbers, shapes, and the alphabet.
I have been a caregiver for 15 years. My love for others prompted me to become a caregiver. I enjoy the reward of helping people who are less fortunate and can no longer do as much as they once could do for themselves. The achievement I am most proud of is completing one of my 2 years of college. I am halfway done with my degree!
I became a caregiver because i wanted to help others to help themselves and because I enjoy knowing that I can make a difference in someones life. I like knowing that I can make someones life that much easier just by being patient, understanding, kind, loving, and willing to listen as well as paying attention to things to help them in their everyday life. I also like to see the change for the better in people when most would give up I like to find another way to help even when they don't realize it. I am very proud of myself for being successfully in raising my children to be the great children that they are and of myself for being able to do this as a single parent. I am also proud of how far I have come in life and doing very well. I can also say that i am proud of being able to have a positive effect on people. Being able to work with people that others say cannot be worked with. I have 3 beautiful children ages 23, 17, and 14 2 boys and a girl she is the youngest I love working with others and don't mind working hard I would not change what i do for anything I love the challenge of being able to change things around for people when most people might think that it is a waste of time I believe that any and everything is possible if you work hard enough for it.
