I have been in the medical field for 20 years working in doctor's offices. My passion is to be a caregiver now. I realize that patients with dementia and Alzheimer's need special care and patience. I have also work with Parkinson's patients. I am medically knowledgeable such as medication and conditions of the patient and when my other patient was in the hospital they wanted me there so that I could speak with the doctor and relay all the information to the family. I am very detail-oriented and punctual.

I became a caregiver because I love to help people. I love to see others smile and go beyond my job duty to see that they are happy and satisfied. I'm now a Medical assistant and would like to go back for nursing. I hope one-day to have my own home health care. I'm kinda quite at first, but respectful and on time because I don't like to be late. Honest, caring and dependable.
Hello, my name is Lisa I am 40 years old and have been a caregiver for a little over 13 years. I am truly compassionate in my duties. I became a caregiver after my grandmother passed away. She was placed in a facility and wasnt getting the care she needed so I spent the last 3 months taking care of her. I understand the importance to have someone who is reliable and understanding someone's needs. My biggest accomplishment so far is graduating college last year with my bachelor's of health services administration which allows me to continue to grow in health care.
I am empathetic, compassionate, nurturing, attentive, dependable, committed, organized, happy, patient, honest, industrious, quiet, energetic, conscientious, clean and kind. As a child, I was always in the company of older folks in my community - so much so, that when I was 17 years old I took care of a 76 years old family friend on the weekends for 3 months while still in high school. I was always running to assist them when the need arises. The elderly comes first for me all the times. I was a volunteer at my church's Assisted Living Facility for 5 years, helping the residents with grooming, dressing, feeding, exercises and just general companionship - chatting and making them happy and joyful. I just have this natural passion and respect for them and humanity in general. I enjoy the satisfaction that engulfs me when I perform a task that they might feel a little embarrassed about but, because of the manner in which it was done, (privacy, respect) they just looked at me and say thank you so much, Joan or just smile confirming satisfaction. I also feel ecstatic and encouraged when family members and friends use words like - "Joan, you are the best" "you are a God-send", "you are special", "Joan, I could never do what you do". and you do your work with such professionalism. I am very proud that, through hard work and commitment to serve , I have gained the trust and respect of all seniors I have met and cared for.
I am a loving caregiver with over 15 years of experience. I began as a teenager taking care of my own grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's. I was trained in a hospital setting as a CNA. I have worked in multiple settings throughout the years, including; assisted living facilities, hospitals, and home care. I prefer to work in home versus a facility, as it allows for a more personal connection and attention. Having cared for my own ill family members, I can understand and relate to how stressful this time is. I pride myself in caring for every person as if they were my own loved one.
I am a good listener. I try to make my patients feel at ease and feel encouraged to obtain as much independence as they still have. Enjoy listening and sharing each others events of our lives. I love caring for the elderly and disabled but most importantly want them to feel good about themselves. Just want them to know they matter still.

I am here to assist both you and your loved one on this life changing journey and hope to also help brighten your days.

As I grew up in Europe I have seen how my family took care of my grandparents in their later years. I loved be a part of it even as a young girl. It was natural for families to take care of their elders. After my children grew up, once again, would love to be there for the one's who need a compassionate loving care.
I am dependable and I love working with elderly especially Alzheimer's and dementia patients .I have been doing CNA work for almost 17 yrs. The reason I became a CNA was because 17 yrs ago I went in early labor with my son and almost died. I had to stay in the ICU for two weeks and when I got out the VNA nurses had to come take care of me. So that's when I decided that I wanted to be a CNA to give back, to help someone else they did a wonderful job . I love doing CNA work, that is my passion. One day I wanna own my own assisted living facility working on it now fin to go back to school for healthcare management. And if you give me a chance I will show how trustworthy, honest, reliable and dependable I could be looking forward to meeting you soon.
