This child had all the complications you could imagine. He was constantly removing his tube, could not eat solid food nor ingest anything by mouth. I personally took on the challenge to care for this child. Within six months, this child started to ingest some form of solid food. By eleven month, this child was completely wean off of Gtube feedings. The entire ordeal was difficult and time consuming, but I was very proud of our achievement. With almost 10 years of care giving experience, helping my clients back to good health and making a difference in their live is motivation for me to continue on this path. I am currently an LPN in school to become an RN with ambitions of one day soon opening a healthcare facility. I have home health experience as well as hospice experience.
