After caring for my daughter with Rhabdomyo Sarcoma Cancer for some years I decided that "Medical Field "is most definitely for me,Some clients doesn't have a child or love one to give the care or love so that's why I decided to join this field I have a passion for sharing and Caring and companionship Since 2004 til present I have been caring for those with or without disabilities. Love taking care of people my whole life, I always was a people person,I was told by my peers that I have a gift and that this is my calling, this is my passion, I'm proud that I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of with different cultures and experience with different kinds of patients at providence hospital for 20 years it was a wonderful experience for me and a great place to work.

I am a compassionate loving woman who loves caring for others. I've recently ended my military career after serving for 7 years now I am ready to serve others. I am in nursing school and I have about 16 months left. I currently have my Nursing Assistant certification as well as my BLS certificate. My long term goal is to become a Registered Nurse at a hospital. While I am in nursing school, I would love the opportunity to work with families as a caregiver. I have been a personal caregiver for over 6 years and I thoroughly enjoy and love the elderly. I first had the previlege of caring for my late husband. I see caregiving job as a ministry to give back to those who have given so much in their lifetime. In addition to providing companionship, I can help monitor medications, prepare delicious meals, keep home and laundry clean. I can transport my client to doctor's appointment as necessary. My main focus is to attend to the needs of each individual on a personal level, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

I am a very caring person, and treating patients as family. I love taking care of people that is not able to take care of themselves. I enjoy putting smiles on the patient face and getting to know them personally, because it helps me to know what they like and don't like. What hurts them and what doesn't hurt. I became a caregiver due to my mother having strokes and I had to be the one that took ca e of her. She had to learn to everything all over again and I was her teacher. I realize that I like taking care of people. Some clients do not have that in their families that want to take care of them and I'm will to take on that relationship and responsibility

I am one of the most empathetic caregivers you will meet. I first became a caregiver in 2002 as an STNA with extensive training. I enjoy being able to help with ADLs , but still allowing the client/resident/patient to be as independent as possible. I enjoy helping to increase client's/resident's/patient's will to live. I will/have alway respect the client's/resident's/patient's rights and adhere to all HIPPA laws. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is the time I changed a resident's entire temperament towards the staff by simply showing him that I actually care. He was a combative dementia patient. Being a hair stylist, I would cut his hair and line him up. The constant compliments received from the staff and residents boosted his confidence and definitely increased his will to live. Although, that was many years ago the thought of it still warms my heart.

I am currently a nursing student. I enjoy putting a smile on patients' faces or just making them feel at ease. I am patient, honest, and compassionate and I give my best effort with every patient I take care of, even when they aren't easy to care for.
