CPR license HHA license, C.N.A I have been an active caregiver since 1995. I am reliable, and an honest person. I have a big heart. I absolutely love being a caregiver. My experience varys from client to client. Most of my clients that I have worked with have some degree of Alzheimer's. I would say that I'm very experienced in that department. My availability as far as scheduling varys. I enjoy working more hours then fewer hours. I like to work over night care the most. Hello, there. My name is Mariah and I'm a hardworking, down to earth country girl. I enjoy spending my free time reading, going on long walks with my dog, hiking, sipping hot tea and cooking. I'm an excellent cook and I have culinary training. I've always been interested in caregiving ever since I was a child. Babysitting for family members turned into me becoming a professional nanny at age 22. I also grew up with my elderly father in the house and was his primary caretaker while my mother worked 2 full time jobs. I had to go to high school online to stay home and help take care of my father. Which, if I'm being honest, I wasn't too excited about missing out on high-school...but now when I look back, those are the memories I cherish most with my father because it was just he and I. I'd drive him to run errands, cook for him, we'd play games and watch the history channel. It made me happy to see him full of life even though I knew he was struggling. I've overcome a lot of obstacles in life and I'm very thankful to be where I am today. I took care of my Mom when she was going thru Chemotherapy for colon cancer. I love to read and have read books out load to keep a depressed person relaxed and content in a nursing home. I enjoy visiting with the elderly and listening to their stories. We can learn so much from them. I've raised 3 boys, all grown now. My oldest son blessed me with my 1st granddaughter and I love spending time with her.
