Hello! My name is Andrea, you may also call me Andy (for short) I've been a CNA since 2008. What's helped me enjoy my career more than anything is my residents & families. I consider everyone I have got the pleasure of taking care of like extra grandparents and I couldn't thank their families enough for sharing them with me. I've been trained & also have worked with Alzheimer's, & dementia. My grandmother whom I took care of for a couple years also had this disease. I've been trained on hoyer lifts many times. Also I've been educated on puree foods, thicken liquids & mechanical soft. I have a family of 2 of which I absolutely adore. My 13 yr old son & 1 yr old little girl. They keep me busy when I'm not working our summers consist of baseball games, swimming & learning something new everyday.

A good caregiver is patient, flexible, and has empathy and compassion. Those are exact reasons why I knew I wanted to take care of people! At a very young age I realize that I always wanted to help people. From taking care of younger siblings to my grandpa when he got sick. I wanted to make sure that quality of life was being lived to the fullest. I enjoyed seeing others happy because I was able to help. Hello! As you can see my name is Amy, I am of mom of two little girls and we just recently moved out here to the Bloomington area. I have been a CNA for 4 years, I personally find a lot of purpose in being a CNA. Every since I got certified this is all I have done since because I truly enjoy what I do.

I've been a Licensed CNA for 4 in a half years. I've worked in nursing homes assisted livings hospitals and mental/substance abuse units. I'm very genuine loving and understanding when it comes to my work because i know it's hard to find that in the healthcare field nowadays, it's like everyone just does it for the money and no passion behind it. Although i like to get paid it's genuine passion that comes with me. I got into this field because of my grandmother so i proud myself on treating my patients clients and/or residents as such. I'm currently in nursing school, well doing my prerequisites for nursing school at Ivy Tech Community College I'm super proud and excited about that because going back for my R.N has been a goal of mine since i became a CNA back in 2019. Im just proud that I'm actually and finally in the process of making that happen! Dominating and changing the healthcare industry is my end game.
