My name is Zakiya Shabazz I have been a HHA (Home Health Aide) for 11 years I have experience as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), as well as a DSP (Direct Support Professional), so I have experience on different levels of working with people I choose this field of work because I love working with people this has always been my passion helping I look at it like I may be the one in need one day so I always do my Best I am new to this APP I am hoping to create great bonds and work with history if you need a great Caregiver I definitely have what it take to get the job done

I am a very selfless person, I am motivated to better the lives and improve the lives of other individuals. I am furthering my education to become a nurse but I have experience as an HHA and a Direct Support Professional. I am most proud of my completion of my Bachelors degree in Community Health. I am not a fan of cats but I do love dogs.

Patience : especially when dealing with the elderly, it is essential for a caregiver to be patient because some of the consumers might not know what they are doing and some needed more time to understand informations . Respecting my patients' privacy and dignity. Exhibiting a positive demeanor and kind tone of voice. Being considerate and kind when working with the patient. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? Putting a smile on my patients face when they achieve their daily goals What is a personal achievement you are proud of? A moment of recognition from a loved one with dementia, a heartfelt "thank you"

I am great caregiver . I have been caregiver / cna for 6 years - I am Covid vaccinated. I am very detail oriented. My passion for taking care of the elderly goes above and beyond .

I am a very patient and optimistic person. I believe everyone has the right to live their lives the best way that they can irrespective of their condition. I am a compassionate person and that is what got me into the caregiver field in the first place. I cared for my loved one when he was recovering from surgery and since then I have caring for people especially seniors because they do not have the ability to do most things that they could not do when they were younger. I like to see people smiling and happy and that is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver, the ability to put a smile on someone's face. I do not see the disability but I see the ability hidden. I fell in love with what i do, it is rewarding in so many ways,bonding with patients, always learning new things. I love taking care of people and making new friends.
