Hello! My name is Jordan. I am a nursing student seeking to help others! I grew up babysitting/nannying for families. I then realized what I knew I wanted to do...help people! I then enrolled in a nursing program right out of high-school! I did 5 classes and am certified in all. I'm CPR/BLS certificated. I'm my senior year of highschool I did an intern ship as a preschool teacher and gained a certification in early childhood development as well.

Personally I became a caregiver on the simple fact that I want to treat people the way I want to be treated if something should happened to me where I can no longer care for myself. I started working in a rest home for society's "unwanted angels" at the age of 18. Many of these people were either physically or mentally challenged in some way and they never had visitors. The staff treated these people horribly by shutting off the heat at night, beating them, and letting them lie in their own feces for hours. I complained to the board of health and this place was shut down soon after. I continued to work third shift in a better nursing home and went to work at Fair Haven Rest Home at the age of twenty five. I got out of the medical field for awhile and picked it up again at the age of 43 at Serenity Home which is a 20 bed facility for the mentally ill. I did med passes and took blood pressures and blood sugar readings and tended to the clients. That was my favorite job that I had ever had in my life. I would have stayed but unfortunately there was a very large turnover and everyone was laid off, including my boss who had worked there for 14 years. I then was hired shortly after by a reputable company named Home Instead. I was a traveling home health aid when unfortunately i injured my arm on the job and it took seven months to heal. Now I am ready to back into the PCA/ Home Health Aid field but I don't wish to travel. I prefer to take care of one person or work in just one f

I've been a great caregiver for many years & have given nothing but the best care to lots of patients. Giving lots of tender love & care is what I'm all about. Patients needing my services & knowing that they are being cared for is what makes me happy. I'm confident enough from all the years of experience that I do my job above & beyond for lots of families. I was born a caregiver. All throughout my life, even as a child, I had to "take care" of everyone and everything. It was what gave me personally,the best feeling of assisting someone else in their personal growth and well being. Giving care both allows me to give my clients the best possible care which will enable them to achieve their best possible ability to have independence and dignity as well as being able to live their life to their to the fullest extent. This allows me to feel as if I have been able to make a difference in their life. One of the proudest, personal achievements in my life is the fact that I just graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from MCPHS University at 52 1/2 years old and was able to keep up with all my younger colleagues on both an academic level as well as a physical level. I had never attended college after high school, so I had to start my education from the very beginning reviewing my math and relearning my sciences as so many things had changed since I graduated high school. My personal life experiences will provide me to give my patients the best possible care available.

i think i am a great caregiver because i enjoy working with all types of clients i get along very well with the clients i have we laugh we enjoy each others company and have great conversations about family .i enjoy working with the eldery i find it very rewarding when i can make them happy.the fact that i can make someone happy keep them in thier own home as long as possible with out them going into a nursing home or some other place of assisted living.that i have been able to keep my clients home and make them happy
