I became a caregiver because I believe it is in my nature and I am compassionate about helping others. I like being a caregiver because no matter how hard I may work or how my day is going, it doesn't feel like work. I would like to help others by doing what I like. I am a mother of four, very energetic and friendly. I recently left my position full time for a major dialysis company in downtown Baltimore and have been in healthcare for a while and started working for Catholic Charities in May 2017, part time on the weekends. I am hoping to start nursing school fall 2017 and would prefer to work overnight Monday thru Wednesday or Thursday but I have open availability and flexibility with my schedule. My personal achievements that I'm honestly most proud of are my children. I am a Certified Nursing Assitant and Cettified Medication Technician through the Maryland Board of Nursing. I am also CPR and First Aid certified.

I have been a care giver pretty much since i had kids. My first born was breech with 2 dislocated hips, she was in a harness the first year of her life. She had her first hip surgery at 5 and her second at 16, my middle daughter is a 15 year ALL leukemia cancer survivor, and my youngest daughter had chairi. My mom was DX in 2016 with waldenstroms macroglobulinemia and I was her care giver for 2 years. I work in Internal medicine now and 90% of my patients are elderly and I just adore them. I listen to their stories and I have so much compassion for these fragile human beings. Caring for others the way I hope to be cared for one day is a passion of mine. I do work a full time job Monday- Friday so ideally evenings or weekends would work best for me, but I am looking to find a new job so I'm willing to go full time with a family.

I love taking care of the elderly that always been my dream to take care of people. It started when my grandfather was sick and I was helping my aunt taking care of him. I showed him love and showed him that I care about him and loved him dearly. I made my grandfather feel good about himself even though he was sick. I always wanted to be an caregiver because I'm a loving person, I'm a caring person, I love getting to know my patients and make my patients feel like their my grandparents, I'm a people's person, very out going. Hi all my name is Jamie and I am 23 yes old. I've been working in the medical field ever since I was 18. I started out working in an Assisted Living here in my hometown. After working there for 2 yrs I ventured off trying a travel type of job as a Travel Medical Assistant, great job but I guess you can say I became homesick so I came home and started working locally at my current job as a Phlebotomist at Quest Diagnostics but no that's not all since I love and had a passion for the elderly I decided to pick up 2 PT jobs at private sitting agencies. I am a great caregiver because I care about elderly people. I was brought up with 2 family members with Alzheimer's. At a young age I started helping my grandmother take care of my grate grandmother who was bed ridden with a feeding tube. I have had lots of hands on training. My uncle has type on diabetes and had recently had 2 toes amputated. I have been helping him recover at home.
