What makes me a great caregiver is I love helping others and making them smile. I like hands on work. I'm very responsible, respectful and dependable. I became a caregiver when I first started caring for my grandma who had dementia. The bond you have with your client and the family when you are a great caregiver is a great feeling. I feel that when im older, I would want someone like myself there to help if I need help. Being a caregiver is more then a job, you are responsible for another person's well being.

I have been a care giver pretty much since i had kids. My first born was breech with 2 dislocated hips, she was in a harness the first year of her life. She had her first hip surgery at 5 and her second at 16, my middle daughter is a 15 year ALL leukemia cancer survivor, and my youngest daughter had chairi. My mom was DX in 2016 with waldenstroms macroglobulinemia and I was her care giver for 2 years. I work in Internal medicine now and 90% of my patients are elderly and I just adore them. I listen to their stories and I have so much compassion for these fragile human beings. Caring for others the way I hope to be cared for one day is a passion of mine. I do work a full time job Monday- Friday so ideally evenings or weekends would work best for me, but I am looking to find a new job so I'm willing to go full time with a family.

I love taking care of the elderly that always been my dream to take care of people. It started when my grandfather was sick and I was helping my aunt taking care of him. I showed him love and showed him that I care about him and loved him dearly. I made my grandfather feel good about himself even though he was sick. Hi all my name is Jamie and I am 23 yes old. I've been working in the medical field ever since I was 18. I started out working in an Assisted Living here in my hometown. After working there for 2 yrs I ventured off trying a travel type of job as a Travel Medical Assistant, great job but I guess you can say I became homesick so I came home and started working locally at my current job as a Phlebotomist at Quest Diagnostics but no that's not all since I love and had a passion for the elderly I decided to pick up 2 PT jobs at private sitting agencies.
