I am faustina Sam 30 years of age from Ghana . I currently live in glen burnie, I live a diligent life style with no bad records and do not smoke or drink alcohol. I have a total of three years experience with patients care. I believe I a fit for this job because I have the necessary experience to care for the elderly. I have worked at the teaching hospital bed of 250 in Africa- Ghana. I have the opportunity to care for different patients with different disease. In the United states I also worked with accessible home health and with different patients including stroke. I also assisted patients with their household task, doctors appointments arrrans, medications and activities of daily living including cooking, feeding and bathing. I also acquired the skills to follow safety precautions to prevent falls and accidents.

I become a caregiver beacuse I love working with people and I work with my mom and brother before they pass away and I know and understand how hard it would be on the person who is caring for their love one,and I like that the person whom am caring for can count on me to be there for them and will always look out for them and put them first always.My bigest achievement is watching someone went from I can't do it to am doing it( which mean I work on a case when the person could not walk again and he did not want to do his exercise and I would explain to him everyday I work with him that if he want to do most of the things he say he missed doing and like doing he will have to do his exercise everyday and he will see that he could walk again, and I tell him that everyday and get him to trust me and I got him to walk again and to me that was big. i'm 36 years old and a mother of two and I love to work with people and I have 16 years of managers exeperance and customer serive, and I had also manager three group homes and one of them I was the live-in house manger and I love that for I would get to hire the persons that I know who would love what we do just as I love what I do, and would not mined treating our client as part of the family.

I knew ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to care for others. I absolutely love caring for others. I'm looking to further my education in the Nursing field. I have always been more mature for my age. I grew up as an only child, only hanging around adults. I have always had a caring personality and when I was 18 after I graduated high school I started working as a CNA at an adult day care, caring for geriatrics with dementia. I fell in love with them. They may not be able to remember your name or their own name but they can tell you stories about their childhood that bring warmth to your heart. I am very good at caring for geriatrics, making them feel comfortable in embarrassing situations for them (bathing, changing soiled linen) because they still deserve dignity and respect which I make sure they know they have the upmost respect. Some geriatric patients have a hard time with caregiving because they have literally give up every ounce of independence they used to have which is hard to cope with. My personality is very smiley and happy around geriatrics which makes them feel better. I also have a very loud voice which is an advantage with geriatrics since most are hard of hearing, they can hear me because I tend to speak loudly. I am an RN however I love being a caregiver too. I am very good at caring for people, making them feel comfortable, I am very easy to talk to and educating on medical information also.
