I have been a caregiver for about 14 years. My grandmother raised me and assisting her over years is what drove me into thise field. I enjoy being outdoors, cooking, reading, and traveling. I enjoy being caregiver because it allows me to help others and give relief to familes and inviduals to know there are people who want be a support system. I have been in the senior industry all of my life. I have two background checks that have been done will state federal and local in the last month. I can provide those to anyone who requires it but I don't see the necessity in paying for a third background check. I'm also listed on the Family Care safety registry . My family ran and owned nursing homes. I am a dementia specialist and I just love working with seniors and helping them. I'm also a certified senior advisor as well as a certified dementia practitioner. I do a lot of caregiver training and I just love helping when I can. Sometimes it's as simple as helping someone navigate their computer or as difficult as transferring them either with a hoyer or a hard transfer I can do all in between. I love doing engagements, I love puzzles, swimming, outings. As much as I can possibly engage someone I don't sit in front of the phone in fact I don't even watch television at my house because I'm so busy and I want to help others have the best life possible. I'm also experience with end-of-life, with the wound vac, and I have a diversity of skills and knowledge including business.
