I have been a CAREGiver for 17 years. I am an easy going, happy, hard working person who loves to make a difference in the lives of others. I enjoy being to make a difference in someone's life everytime I work. I am most proud of being a Father of 6 wonderful children and a Grandfather to my 2 beautiful Granddaughters!

It warms my heart. I'm a church lady ,I'm envowled with church functions. My mother has Alzheimer's it's my way of helping I treat my clients with respect. Like I would treat my mom. I have only been a CNA since April but I've worked hundreds of hours since then taking care of people. I work very hard and I love taking care of people. I do everything I can to help people.

As a CNA I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I grew up with my grandparents and I enjoyed taking care of them because I learned that when we get older things change. I feel i can get along well with a people. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. Also doing a variety of tasks in a day. I don't ever say, \\"that's not my job\\" but instead like pitching in to do whatever is needed. to me I think it's important to make someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I take pride in paying attention to detail. I'm seeking a career with growing opportunities. I don't want to invest in many years of formal education but you are willing to learn new skills and take continuing education to do your job well. I feel that when you are older, you'd want someone like yourself there to help you if you need help. Being a caregiver means to have Patience,Love, Humbled heart, and the passion to make someone's day when they are going through a big change in life or just need someone to be there.

I am currently a Nursing student and have been a caregiver for over 10 years. My personality traits are being compassionate, patience and having empathy. I believe empathy and understanding are absolutely necessary to patient's needs. I am detail oriented, cooperative, professional and complete tasks very quickly and accurately. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is that I enjoy working with people and enjoy the one-on-one interactions with my patients. I believe caregiving is an extremely rewarding job when taking care of our elders who have given so much to this world is a blessing, honor and truly rewarding! I enjoy being a caregiver the most is I can make a huge difference in people's lives by providing companionship and emotional support. I always try going the extra miile to make my patient's quality of life more joyful and I help them to stay connected with their community and remain independent for longer periods of time. My most proud moments and achievement as a caregiver is knowing my patients and their family appreciates my help. It's honoring to me for the families having trust in me when leaving their loved ones with me and for welcoming me to their homes with open heart and arms! Their kindness, support along with their trust in my ability to be a care provider for their loved ones, brings comfort to me; not to mention it's extremely humbling and much appreciated!
