Taking the best care of those who can't take care of themselves is a joy for me. I love conversing with others and learning about them. I'm a great listener, learner and apply what I have learned quickly. I am very easy to get along with. Making sure tasks I'm giving are completed correctly and on time is very important to me.

I'm currently working as a cashier / secretary at Pontotoc Electric association in Pontotoc , Ms . I have many references as to my abilities and character. Hello my name is Mayra Vallejo. I became a CNA because working for somebody that needs love and attention satisfies my soul. After my first job as a caregiver to my father-in-law, I knew this was the work I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I'm a very patient person I have intuition towards peoples needs and wants. Being compassionate towards others is always my first priority. I do not have a ton of experience that I wish I had but the little that I have pushes me to keep doing what my heart desires and that is caring for others. I enjoy knowing that I have made someone happy and give the families a peace of mind that their loved ones are in ther right hands. I have several personal achievements that I'm proud of; 1. Having 3 adorable children, I consider myself very blessed to have them in my life. 2. Attaining my CNA license, this made my parents and children very proud of me after a few setbacks in life. 3. I always wanted to be in the medical field ever since I was a little girl. I am patience, trustworthy, flexible, reliable, and compassionate. Caregiving isn't just a job it's about helping the person achieve their goals while living in their home.

I am 26 and I have 3 kids that I love so much. I am very outgoing and always have a smile on my face. I have been a caregiver for 4 years. Although I loved what I did working in the kitchen at the hospital, it didn't bring me as much joy as caring for the elderly. I must say working at NMRC is very inspirational; not only does it open my eyes to the world, but it gave me the opportunity to help those who can't help themselves. Being a caregiver is such an honor. It's all about putting away your needs to assist others. Knowing that a smile on your face can bring joy and happiness to someone else is amazing to me. The moment when you can reflect back and see how you have helped someone is what caregiving is all about.
