I became a caregiver to help others, as I have always possessed an innate desire to do just that. Since elders can't always communicate themselves, I felt a compelling need to do this for them in the best way I knew possible. Naturally, I enjoy that rewarding feeling you get from being a Caregiver but it goes deeper than that. Addressing a problem (emotionally or clinically ) by noticing that something just isn't right or \\\\\\"off' and rectifying it is even more gratifying! I am proud that I was able to attend a private school in NC, and become a Medical Assistant. It definitely expanded my horizons, and \\\\\\"opened new doors\\\\\\" for me. With my diploma, I gained valuable experience in physician offices. For several years, I enjoyed working as a Medical Assistant but missed the camaraderie of conversing and interacting with the senior population. Eventually, I changed roles, and returned to home healthcare. As Caregiver, I pledge that I will give 100% to all clients promoting compassion, kindness, competence, dependability while striving to provide the utmost in nurturing care.

I am a great caregiver because I am compassionate , kind and love what I do. I have been a caregiver for the last 20 years. My mother motivated me to get in this field ,as she had been diagnosed with lung cancer at the age of 65. Unfortunately she passed away at 67 , which will be 20 years this October. I love working with the elderly. I have had some great experiences through the years of my career. Looking forward to many more. I am now in school on line to get my Associate of Science degree in Allied health.

Being able to put a smile on my clients face is my main goal! Knowing that I can make a difference in someone else's life attracted me into being a caregiver. The conversations and the connections that I have with my clients is what I enjoy the most .
