I have become, what I consider myself to be, an amazing caregiver. I have a huge heart and i tend to put everyone I care for above and beyond everything else. I listen carefully to peoples needs as well as wants and do my very best to provide what is expected by them or the families NO QUESTION. I decided I wanted to be a caregiver at a young age. My grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and everyone in my family brushed it off as just 'old age'. Well, I wanted to learn more about this dementia and see what I could do to help better her life and the lives of others in this predicament. What I am proud of most is all the positive feedback from families as well as co-workers, managers included, about how great I am and how lucky a place or family is to have me. I have many personal achievements but the one I am most proud of, is I will ALWAYS and forever as long as I am caring for loved ones of my own or others, put quality over quantity. I have learned that people need good care no matter the life span, young or old.

Ever since I was a little girl I loved visiting my mom at work at the nursing home. I started volunteering in activities when I was 11. I loved keeping the residents entertained and making sure they had something positive to look forward to each day. When I was 16 I was hired to work as a dietary aide in the facilities kitchen and eventually worked my way up to a cooks position. I've always had a passion for cooking and went to a trade school for culinary during high school. I missed being around the residents and wished I could be more involved so I decided to get my LNA. It was the best decision because not only am I around the residents more I can actually help them with whatever problems they are facing that day.

I love being there for people who need day to day help whether it's just to talk or run errands .i have worked both in nursing homes as well as home care and extremely enjoy the quality time you are able to spend with ones who need help.

I have been involved in health care for roughly ten years now and truly love helping people and making a difference in their day. I recently returned back to school an have 2 semesters left before gaining my RN degree in nursing. I am originally from new york and i am currently seeking employment in new hampshire with an active LNA license.

What makes me a great caregiver is my many years of experience, I have been a nurses aid for 30 years. I have worked in Hospitals, Rehabs, Nursing facilities, and I have done private duties. I have also worked as an office manager at a Boarding House and worked with the Homeless. I became a caregiver because I was brought up by a caring mother that has always found satisfaction in helping those less fortunate than herself, I truly believe in giving back the same love, and understanding I was raised on.
