I love working with elderly i treat them as if they were my family. What personal achievements that make me proud are mainly anything that me proud of myself. For example not too long ago I received recognition from my school for great attendance. Also what achievements make me proud are when I help people. For example my friend's mother has C-DIFF and she needs to be reminded to take her medication and I like to help out with it and it makes me proud.

I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client's day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh.

I became a caregiver in 2003. I decided I wanted to be a caregiver when I had to provide care for my son who was born premature. What I like about being a caregiver is the satisfaction I get when I help someone in need. One of my personal acheivements that I am proud of is getting a college degree in Medical Assisting. Ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to help others. By the time I was in high school I knew I wanted to be in the health care field. After I graduated high school I immediately took a class to become a Certified Home Health Aide. I love helping Patients and their families to get through what might be temporary or long-term difficult situations. This is not just a job for me this is a passion. What makes me a great caregiver is that my sister has been a paraplegic my whole life and as a child I had to learn proper care for her as she is in a wheelchair so when my father got diagnosed with leukemia I was ready to be able to care for him properly. I am a respectful happy hard working person that enjoys my profession because I learn something new every day weather it's a bout life or a funny joke and get to take it home with me.
