I am a great caregiver because I am passionate about helping others and interacting with all types of elderly people. I have been doing it for almost 10 years. I have the patience to work with all types of people including taking care of children because I've also been working for children for over 12 years.

Hello, my name is Amanda Gomez. I have chosen to become a caregiver because I believe this type of care should be of a loving, nurturing, patient, and gentle nature. What makes me a great caregiver is having a passion in helping others in any way I can. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to make a difference and an impact in someone's life. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is the ability to make someone else smile and simply being able to give them a hand in any possible way I may be able to. My mother's stories of being a caregiver and how rewarding it was highly inspired me into this profession. I feel I bring strength, high compassion and patience with me. It is rewarding knowing I can go to work everyday and have the opportunity to help someone or accomplish things they may have not been able to for themselves.

I enjoy caring for people that are in need of my assistance. That I have the ability to understand their needs. I enjoy being enjoy their company and conversating with them about their life stories. I have always been a people person all of my life. My first jobs were serving the public and then through the military. My heart always seems the happiest when I can care for others and give them the respect they deserve. With this said, I have 7 + years experience giving care to the elderly and really enjoy every minute. The special needs children that I transported back and forth from school will always hold a special plans in my heart. So do the all the seniors that I care for in the past and in the future I'm sure. I am also a personal trainer so I have experience in exercise and stretching where needed. I first got interested in healthcare at the age of 14 by taking care of my late aunt. She was a type 1 diabetic that ultimately lead to skin issues and blindness. She told me Shirley you should be a nurse. It sparked the idea. From that time on I found people in the community that needed a little help to make their daily lives easier or better they would say. Later, I put myself through collage and obtained my Bachelorsrs degree in Nursing. I got a job in the Critical Unit. Unfortunately, COVID hit, overwhelming our unit as well as the rest of the hospital(s). At that time, I put passing my certification test on the backburner because I felt the need to be on the floor doing what I could do to help. I didn't pass my test in time and so I was demoted to a patient care tech. I am still working in the CCU as a PCT. I miss my home healthcare personal job as it allows me to connect and do something for people in my community that need help. I enjoy conversations and proving holistic care. Knowing that I am passionate about making sure my clients are comfortable and happy is rewarding and makes my heart happy. My biggest accomplishment was raising my two children while putting myself through collage as a nurse.

I love to help the helpless. I love that I get to help and serve the people. I became a registered nurse in Mexico. I'm a 47 year old male that loves to help people. Also I'm very a very responsible and very clean. I know what a person needs and I can provide the care.
