I feel I am a great caregiver because I care about the person as a whole and do not treat them as an object. Also, in almost 25 years I have a wide variety of experiences in a variety of settings. I have taken care of all age groups and have enjoyed all of it for various reasons. I began 5 years after my mother had passed and I had assisted in her care. My training began after leaving the printing industry. Now, I have come to a pinnacle and am attempting nursing school.

I am AMAP (Approved Medication Assistive Personnel) certified so very familiar with medications & various treatments etc. Experienced with transfers, lifts, ambulating, wheelchairs, etc. Experienced with housekeeping, cooking & errand running. Experienced with pet care (dogs and cats). I genuinely love bonding with my residents & helping them with their daily needs.

I have been working with clients of diverse conditions for the past 5 years. Most of my clients are the elderly with varying degrees of mental decline and medical issues. I have the necessary medical background to do non-invasive procedures and give excellent, standard care. Being a caregiver gives me fulfillment of being able to contribute to the quality of life one deserves either in that stage when one is in ill or elderly.
