I love being a caregiver because I enjoy the getting to know my clients one on one on a personal level. I love hearing their stories and I feel like I'm making a difference in their life. I've gone to college for other things but this is where my heart leads me.

I am very patient and calm. I try to engage the resident in conversation. I take my time to be sure they have can get a good meal and enjoy themselves. I can do many things to occupy their time and help them have things to do. I am totally dedicated to the resident and what they need.

I started doing this when i was caring for my terminally ill mother. I love being able to help people in their homes where they are comfortable. I have worked in nursing facilities and in the home setting as well. I dont mind doing some housekeeping and driving to appointments or errands. I look forward to caring for your loved ones.

I am a very pleasant yet spunky 59-year-old YaYa of soon to be 7 grandchildren. I love to clean, cook and multi-task. I'm extremely talented, artsy, organized and I LOVE people. By nature, I am a people pleaser and servant of others in need. I started out in nursing many years ago working with the elderly in both assisted living and hospital care. I left nursing and sold real estate for more than 25 years. During this period, I also cared for my father as he declined in health fairly quickly. Later, I relocated from Kansas City to Topeka Kansas, where I worked 4 years in marketing for a not for profit home health/hospice organization. Prior to moving, I had worked as a therapist with autistic children of all ages using ABA training. That was fun! Working with people, spreading goodwill and creating smiles is where my heart is. I've recently moved to Oklahoma to help with my daughter's growing family and care for my grandson. Not only do I chase a 2yr old around, but I also cook and clean daily. She is now on maternity leave so I am free to pick up some part-time hours. I would love the opportunity to visit and see if we are a match for one another.
