I enjoy being with people, and helping them. I feel our basic concept is to help others that need it, to better them, & to better ourselves in doing so. I feel I'm at my best when I'm able to extend kindness, compassion, & respect to others, & to help them live as comfortable as posdible.

I am trustworthy ,reliable, and loyal with a heart for working with the elderly. I have the knowledge and skill set to provide assistance with bathing, and daily personal grooming care. Medication management, and I understand the challenges of Alzheimer's/Dementia and will actively engage in a meaningful way to enrich and maintaining a healthy daily schedule. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I do light housekeeping, laundry and can prepare nutritious meals. I truly enjoy providing companionship and have a listening ear. And a non- smoker. I'm naturally empathetic and patient, which allows me to connect with people and provide the support they need. I'm also reliable and detail-oriented, making sure that tasks are completed properly and that those I care for feel safe and valued. Additionally, I have strong communication skills, which help me understand and respond to the needs of both patients and their families. My own grandmother has had dementia for years and I took care of her before I moved and I worked in an assisted living community as well.

I want to be a care giver because I just spent the past six months taking care of my father who has since passed on, I enjoyed spending time with him even though in the end he really didn't remember that I was his daughter anymore. I love helping others, in a way I think it helps to fill a void in ones life. I think that Geriatrics is my specialty I enjoy it because the clients have so much wisdom to share. I like to think I will help to improve their quality of life and ease some suffering. An employer should hire me because I know you need staff who can show true compassion, who are good with elder clients and who will make sure that the client has all that they need before my shift ends and things are left tidy. I really enjoy working with all different types of people, and helping them stay as independent as they can be. It’s really important to me to be polite and friendly, when I worked in the retail field I tried to get every customer to smile before they left my store! It has been a while since I had to take care of another person be sides myself, my youngest child is 27 years old , but I don’t think you lose the passion to please the others and make sure they always get the care they need– I haven’t.
