Good Listener Have been in healthcare all my life (now 73).As an LPN, (Licensed Practical Nurse) I was a hospital discharge planner, a nurse liaison for a nursing home, a private duty nurse, a hospice intake coordinator, among other jobs. I no longer hold a nursing license. I do hold a CPR card that is current. Understand the need for following instructions. Enjoy working with people in homecare taking care whatever is needed. I have seen people who are untrained and without common sense and this is a waste of everyone's time. I like the idea of taking care of things the resident doesn't have to try to do, so he or she can spend their energies doing things they enjoy. That is what I am proud of.

I have an enlightening personality. I bring Sunshine of warmth and happiness to my clients. I am a Caregiver, Field Trainer and Transporter. I also have training of Dementia, Chronic Disease, Cultural Competency and Mental Illness. I have cared for my grand parents and other family members most of my life. I also respect the Veterans that i serviced. I enjoy being around the elderly by listening and learning from them. I am Proud that i have increased the value of ones life.

I am caring, compassionate, giving, able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. My husband was previously "full care" after suffering a CVA in November of 2014. I learned how to take care of and manage a Stroke patient post-surgical. I am also a retired volunteer Fire Fighter/ EMS and I am a licensed Massage Therapist. I feel these qualities will assist me with my duties as a Home Health Care provider.

My personal reason is, I helped my dad with my mom. She was on hospice for approximately size months or more. Then, after mom passed I helped take care of dad, he passed the following year. I worked in the Sheriff's office for 23 years assisting The nurses I love people and I love taking care of their needs, such as light house keeping, companionship so their not lonely. Every one needs loved and sometimes the elderly are forgotten about. I am working now but I'm driving almost an hour away which is taking time away from my grandchildren that I adopted. Just last week I worked 90 hours., and the week before I put in 65 hours. As you see I'm not afraid of work.

Over 12 years of nursing experience, I am an LPN that has worked in home health, rehab facilities and has cared for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. I am a mother and looking to provide care to the community in home for any needs. As a caregiver, it's essential to possess patience, compassion, and good communication skills to provide the best care for potential patients. Additionally, understanding medical conditions, administering medications, and assisting with daily living activities are crucial aspects of home care. Always prioritizing the safety and well-being of my clients, and staying updated on the latest caregiving techniques and practices. Building a strong bond with patients can make a significant difference in their overall well-being and quality of life.

I started working as a caregiver through my church, it was very rewarding. I have experienced the gratification of doing work that is meaningful and very important. Caregivers become part of the clients family, and they want to feel comfortable that their loved ones are being treated with care, empathy, and respect. I have always treated my clients the way I want my loved ones to be treated. It is the best thing ever to know that you are doing work that is honorable and appreciated.

I became a caregiver because I have a spirit of helping. I have assisted a whole array of patients ranging from amputee to stroke to alzheimers. at the time I am a caregiver for a family member with alzheimers and dementia. the biggest part of my adult,working life I have been in the home health field. I do not have last 5 yrs in experience as I came out of retirement to take the position in my family member's home.

I became a caregiver because I love to help people. Adults and Children. This is what I like best about being a caregiver, knowing that I have the ability to make someone's day a little better, make someone a little happier. I am proud of getting my CNA and Adult& Pediatric/CPR/First Aide/AED and I also took a Nurse Extender Course and got signed off to take out IV's, take out Catheter's, take Blood Sugars. I have also worked with people on oxygen. I am a single mom, my daughter is my world. She is turning 12 years old in Aug. I worked at the Parents Morning Out Daycare at my Church for almost two years. My skills are: I can give bed bathes and help with showers, change linens, help feed the patient, help the patient when he or she needs to go to the bathroom, hair care, dental care, I can also help with transporting a patient, I can chart patient's records or information on any kind of computer, I speak some Spanish and type about 15 to 20 words a minute.
