I believe in helping others that's what encourage me to be a caregiver, started out in California my first job was working at a long term care facility, as a Nurse aide at monte vista care center in Montclair CA where I took my CNA class and got my certificate in august 1991. From then I continuously working as a CNA at different facilities, hospitals, and private homes. This is what I do Assisting with personal care: bathing and grooming, dressing, toileting, and exercise Basic food preparation: preparing meals, shopping, housekeeping, laundry, and other errands General health care: overseeing medication and prescriptions usage, appointment reminders and administering medicine Mobility assistance: help with getting in and out of a wheelchair, car or shower Personal supervision: providing constant companionship and general supervision Transportation: driving to and from activities, running errands, and help getting in and out of wheelchair-accessible vehicle Emotional support: being a stable companion and supporter in all matters personal, health-related and emotional Care for the elderly: orienting or grounding someone with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, relaying information from a doctor to family members Back-up care (or respite) services: providing other caregivers a break Home organization: help with organizing, packing or cleaning for a trip, or general house care and cleaning Health monitoring: following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individual's health, recording and reporting any differences I prefer weekend shifts or overnight

I'm a very easy-going person . funny , I'm loving , Respectful, caring , compassion , and Patience. It gives me joy to be able to put smile on their faces and knowing that they can also trust me. I also enjoyed taking Care of elderly people and Learning things from them. I have worked as a caregiver for the past 12 years plus. That why I think I'm best.

Empathy and compassion. By showing both empathy and compassion gives me edge to know when they are changes in their status. What attracted me to be a caregiver is nothing but having passion for it.
