I have been a cna for 10 years and a medication aide for 4 years. I was also a therapy tech for two years.

I have about 15 years of experience in taking care of elderly in their private homes and in health facilities. I am a kind loving caring person who absolutely loves people. I love being a CNA and getting to be a little part of so many lives. I've always wanted to be a CNA but the cards didn't line up for me until a few years ago. I knew without a doubt when my grandpa got sick and I had to take care of him that this is what I had to do, it was definitely my calling in life. I'm a big hearted person who loves to take care of others.

I became a Caregiver because I feel like I am making a difference in someone's life. A smile, touch or words of encouragement can add so much to the life of a sick or elderly person. This kind of connection makes my job more than what it is and that gives me personal satisfaction. I like being a Caregiver because I enjoy meeting new people, and no 2 days are the same. I'm proud of graduating from CNA school at the top of my class and passing the state CNA class on the first try. I am married with 3 very active teenage boys. I enjoy being an active mom in their lives. Originally I am from Naperville, Illinois. My husband's company transferred to Fort Worth in 2008. I have had various other positions. Late summer last year was when I started my studes for my CNA career.

I WORKED IN HOSPICE FIELD FOR 25 YEARS. MET ALOT OF WONDERFUL AND CARING PEOPLE WHAT I LOVED ABOUT MY JOB WAS FEELING FULFILLED THAT I HAD MADE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEBODYS LIFE IF EVEN FOR A LITTLE BIT I TREAT ALL OF MY CLIENTS THE WAY I WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED WHEN THE TIME COMES FOR TO BE TAKEN CARE. THE ONLY REASON I LEFT MY JOB WAS SO I COULD BE CLOSER TO MY FAMILY WHO I AM VERY CLOSE TO, I LEFT A GOOD STAFF, WE WERE A GOOD TEAM AND ALWAYS PRIDED ON BEING THE BEST OF THE BEST.

I love taking care of the elderly and I love doing my job. They are the most sweetest people. I have been a caregiver for over 5 years now and I love what I do I have my CNA license so it couldn't be any better then that. Also the elderly people love me love my personality and the way I do things I have been told that they love my cooking and my cleaning and they would love to have me come back anytime.
