My name is Miriam Zapot , I have being a nurses aide for 7yrs. I have always worked in a nursing and rehabilitation facility. What makes me being a great caregiver is the fact that I take care of my patients as if it is someone of my own family. I have empathy, compassion, and patience for my patients. I take care and treat them with dignity and respect just like I would want somebody to do the same way for my parents, grandparents, and for me someday. I became a caregiver because I want to be a nurse someday and it gives me the experience and knowledge that I need to be a great nurse. This profession gives me the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life by helping and encourage them with their daily activities. Also to give support and comfort to family members. Another reason that I like of being a caregiver is not that I am doing a job that pays me and I get to go home. It is the learning experience that I get from my patients thru their stories and experiences of their own personal life, their kindness and appreciation of other family members as well. A personal achievement that I feel proud of is that in all these 7 years as a caregiver, I have never had a complain from any of my patients or issues with any of my coworkers despite that sometimes this kind of work can be stressful. My bosses have always given me nice compliments and encouragement to continue with my education in the nursing field. Lastly, I completed my basic courses in college and I was able to get certified as a nurses aide (CNA), medication aide (CMA) while working overnights. It was a challenge for me because I had to provide and take care of my two little children as a single parent.
I am a very energetic person, very respectful. My work ethics is all of the chats . I have a great communication skills with the elderly and I always make sure I love what I'm doing and I always like to achieve a higher level in everything I'm doing. I take whatever I'm doing very serious. I take my job serious especially when it comes to dealing with someone else's life.

I care for people and I love being there for people who are in need. I like being Caregiver because I learn a lot about how some types of sickness or disabilities put people in need of others and I always put myself in my residents or clients shoes. Being a Caregiver make me pursuit my career in health care and I got Nursing Assistant and Medication Aide Certificate in it so I'm proud of being others helper.
