Hello! My name is Beth. I am 37 years old & the mother to 2 boys (19 & 8). Throughout my entire life I have been referred to as an "old soul", often relating to & befriending folks over 60. I have always cherished what their generation has to share & what they've given to us. Listening to them recall their past & share advice is honestly the most rewarding bonus about being a caregiver! I truly believe caregiving was what I was called to do & I'm so thankful it's my passion! I have over 15 years of experience, mostly with seniors & working with Dementia/Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, & terminal illness. I assist my clients by providing companionship & help w/ bathing, dressing, meal prep, laundry, house keeping, dishes, meds, appts, shopping, transportation, scheduling, keeping care logs, & any other daily needs. I have experience working w/ the Hoyer lift & wheelchair (both manual & electric). I do my best to get clients up & around, keeping their blood flowing and muscles strong. I have been working in the healthcare field for 20yrs, and have work and all kinds of settings with many different clients and different stages of health. I became a caregiver because I like providing companionship and getting to know people. I like seeing positive results from my clients and their family. I am proud receiving my certification in Phlebotomy, EKG, and Patient Care Technician from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I am also National Registered Certified Medical Assistant.

Why I became a care giver,is because I'm a giver love to help others and help them enjoy their daily life in the comfort of thier home,it's rewarding to assist with all walks of life to be able to adapt with meeting new clients and there caring family members. I am a honest, compassionate person with 11 plus years of experience. I became a Caregiver because of my unique personality. I love to help everyone around me wether is physical or emotional support. I love being a Caregiver because I enjoy the difference I make in peoples life and the smiles I put on everyone's face. Being a Caregiver has thought me different care skills; no matter the condition of an individual everyone should be treated with diginity and respect.

I am very friendly and outgoing love to be helpful in anyway I can as a caregiver. I was attracted when I got into home health care when I was pregnant and just taking care of my patient was a joy. I just love making sure my patient is well cared for in there home. I am proud that I have been able to in this field for almost 14 years wether is doing home heath, CNA work or my CMA work as well. I have loved been in this field and want to get back to doing home health care.

I love being around people and I get along with everyone my best trait is making people laugh and smile. I am warm hearted and kind to my best of my knowledge. I have a lot of patients and have experience of taking care of special needs children and young adults because I have a daughter that has Down syndrome and a stepson that has autism.

I'm not shy, I'm ready to work and get into the mix of things! I love helping people in any way, I'm so passionate about caring for others, that I'm making a career out of it! I love lifting people up, both emotionally and physically. I wouldn't trade the bond I share with others for the world! Additionally, an achievement I am proud of is kind of silly, but it was buying my very first car all by myself, with my hard earned money and time. It's the fact that hard work, determination and just believing in yourself will always have a good outcome that keeps me going.

I don't have patients I have new family members to care for. It's my effortless compassion to focus on him/her with love, kindness and a desire to learn their needs with adaptability. I became a caregiver because my loved ones (your family members) need to know someone cares and is fully committed to fulfilling their needs, as they deserve. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is restoring security, safety, and trust during our newfound relationship. One of my proudest personal achievements is when I realized I have the ability to love everyone. It takes a special someone to know they're here to serve others but to genuinely love and serve others is something that cannot be taught. I am that someone.

I have been in healthcare for 14 years I have specialized in home health for the past 10 years my last client I was with her for over 6 years she was a cancer survivor and I was with her throughout her radiation and chemo treatments and helped her get through her cancer when she became very ill in her last stage of life I was with her then as wells when hospice was brought in so I specialize in hospice care as well as she is not my first patient on hospice care.

I take pride in what I do. Working with people from all walks of life is something i enjoy. I take great care of not only my family but others as well. I have wanted to be a nurse since I was 15 and I have made that dream come true. I still have a ways to go but I want to get experience anywhere I can and in all forms. I enjoy listening to stories of the past and assisting with making new memories. I understand families cannot always stay with their loved ones 24/7 so I would like to lend a hand or two. I am very patient with people and do not rush them; I try to let them continue to do what they can and not feel helpless.
