I am a trustworthy and compassionate certified nurses assistant looking for work as a caregiver. I am a nurturer by nature, and enjoy being able to care for people that need my help. I have ample experience caring for elderly patients with dementia and stroke, as well as in a nursing home, and have cared for a wide variety of needs. I work at my best when I feel like I am part of a team or family. And I like to ingagage In patient's daily life needs above and beyond.

Since I was a young girl, whether it be for my loved ones or the underprivileged, I have always had an innate concern for those in need. My inherent compassion for the livelihood challenges of others has developmentally led me to pursue an educational life-long career as a guidance counselor and health-care provider. What I have learned in my experience, when caring for any individual, is that each person's needs are distinct and should not be identified as like any other individual. When an individual is challenged in any capacity, demonstrating you care in getting to know them as a person, their strengths and limitations with personable kindness, compassion, and patience, can make all the difference to the individual and the family members who depend on you as an extension of themselves. Sometimes a simple smile can make a person feel more relaxed and willing to work with you as a caregiver to aid them with their inability of managing their own lives on their own. As a professional counselor and caregiver, what gratifies me the most about helping an individual is being a part of improving their quality of life for their overall well-being; mind, body, and spirit

I'm caring, respectful, dependable, compassionate and a great listener, It is because of my mom that I became a CMA Knowing how much help she needed and at that time I wasn't able to be there for her as much as she needed me to so I wanna be there for someone who needs the help. I was 15 years old and just started my freshman year of high school when I was placed in a class called Intergenerational Studies. For 2 hours each day I was taken to the nursing home called Golden Years there in Elgin, Tx. I started off just getting residents from their rooms to come and do activities with me. But it wasn't long and I was working side by side with CNAs, RNs, and at one point the DON had me shadow her for 2 weeks. I just got really interested and a few years after graduation and having my son, I pursued a CNA certification and was assigned the hospice hall and the "lockdown unit" which was occupied by the more violent patients and those with conditions such as Alzheimer's and/or parkinson's, as well as those with behavioral health conditions. I honestly just fell in love with everything about caring for the elderly. Even the hard and very emotional side of the care I provide is something I wouldn't want to stop doing. I would love to get my CNA back but just haven't attempted to do so since my husband passed in 2011. Since my high school days I have worked with all ages of people, from a 2 year old little princess to a 98 year old gentleman I referred to as Fred Astaire due to them looking like twins. He loved it and would smile so big when I walked in every day; and every day he would say "Good morning Ms. Judy (Garland). You feel like dancing the day away?" It's things like that for which I love my work. Please feel free to ask anything, I would love to tell everything now but there is just so much I've been blessed to have experienced with so many different people I'd never be done.

I have a lot of patience, watching my father go through moods caused by dementia and altzimers has helped me become more understanding and wanting to help people.

I have 4 years of previous practical nursing training from West Technical Educational Center located in South Florida , where I was born and raised. I've have 2 years of caregiver experience. I am currently a Certified Medical Assistsnt as well as a Certified Medication Technician. I have always been passionate about helping others in every way that I can possibly can help. I pride myself in displaying Integrity, respect, care and empathy for others....Treat the client as if I were taking care of my parent or grand parent. I am young , energetic and full of compassion! I became a part-time caregiver years ago when we discovered my dad had dementia in the 90s. I have always been a caregiver in my family . My background is in finance. Kids got to college and I decided I'd do what was in my heart! Love being a companion and helpful Guide when I'm needed in a shopping, cooking, housekeeping and overall balancing act for someone who just needs some assistance.
