1. What actually makes me a great caregiver is my willingness to serve others and I believe it's my calling. 2. I became a caregiver because, I have great compassion for individuals in need of personal one on one care. 3. Their are several reasons why I like being a caregiver. The first reason is that I am able to be there for individuals that are in need of help. Another reason I enjoy being a caregiver is because, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and after the cancer she went into remission. Shortly afterwards, she was diagnosed with dementia. Recently she was diagnosed with Parkinson. I eventually had to move her into my home and I realized how self fulfilling and rewarding it is to serve others with sincere humility. I feel that as a caregiver each individuals that I care for should receive the best of care, compassion, and the best quality of care that life has to offer. 4. My most greatest achievement is yet to come because, I'm looking to achieve more tomorrow than I have today. Life is a lifelong learning process and when you think that you have achieved your greatest achievement there is still room left for more improvement.

I have been a caregiver since 2009. I love the feeling I get from being needed and helping the elderly or disabled people. I mainly have worked for home health agencies and care homes. Im quiet, hardworking, patient and very understanding. I feel if anyone pays you to do a job and you agree to it, you tey to give that job 100 percent! What attracted my to caregiving, was having compassion for others. I most enjoy about caregiving is getting to know my clients and/or their family. I am a student studying Occupational Therapy who is interested in working with older adults. While I was completing my undergraduate degree, I worked part-time as a CNA at a long-term care facility for 3 years and I absolutely loved the experience. I genuinely enjoy working with the older adult population. I feel that there is a lot I learn from the stories and life experiences that older adults have. I am currently only taking classes a few days a week which gives me some extra time to pick up a caregiver/companion job.
