I'm also a NRCMA have experience in home health also in a family practice clinic and urent care clinics as well.I have worked alot with Dementia/Alzheimer's patients. I'm also certified in First Aid/ CPR. Im a very loving and personable person.

I'm very passionate about being a Caregiver. I never had the pleasure of meeting any of my grandparents so I have always wonder what it felt like. So being a Caregiver has introduced me to wonderful people. I have enjoyed baking cookies, listening to old love stories, as well as old war stories. I can surely see and feel how special grandparents and Elderly really are. I love the warmth of smiles, the hugs, and the sincere gratitude that's shared. I love just being a trustworthy companion to the most vulnerable. It's really heartfelt.

What made me want to be a caregiver and take care of people was being able to for connections and friendships with them. i was my grandmothers caregiver for 2 years before getting into the health care and being able to make help and care for someone brightened up my day! being that i'm a very personable person i find it very easy to connect with new people. Seeing that i have made someone's day a little bit easier is what makes being a caregiver worth it !

Hello my name is Demeteries Hawkins. I've been a Patient Care Assistant for over 20 years. Growing up being the oldest of 6 siblings I had to be the caregiver due to my mother working long hours as a nurse. In my adult life I've had many jobs but no fulfillment until I started caring for others. I found my purpose and calling. I truly enjoy/ love being a caregiver it brings so much joy and self gratification. My mother played a big part of why I love being a caregiver. seeing the love, she gave, and the return love played a big roll. It feels good to know that I have gained a client trust as well as the assurance that I will take care of them. To see them smile or just help them through a rough day knowing that they can count on me is a great reward. I've had a client I had just started with ask me, is this just a job or do you care? I care about what I do. This is one of the biggest questions that a client or family member has when looking for a caregiver. Staying positive, going beyond the call of duty, compassionate, caring, outgoing, patience, etc. To have the opportunity to care for your loved one or self would be a privilege and a blessing.

I'm a great caregiver for these reasons, I'm dependable,punctual,eager to learn,eager to help, I get alone with any and everyone,including pets.I was created for this field.I have compassion for what I do & also for the seniors I help. I am also a medical assistant. I love my career with such a passion that I knew at a young girl I wanted &needed to be in the medical field. I love been a helping hand to somsomeone that needs, or don't mind my help. I'm also a companion,friend to whomever I assist but we also become family from the time we spend together.I get to know who they are and they also get to know me.I TRULY LOVE WHAT I DO! I'm a very easy going person, I've been a CNA over 20 plus years. I treat my clients as though we're family or the way I want my mother to be treated. What attracted my to caregiving, was having compassion for others. I most enjoy about caregiving is getting to know my clients and/or their family. My personal achievement is loving the care I give and knowing I'm doing my best.

Empathy, I strive to treat all my patients/clients the way I would like to be treated by others. Also, I have more than 20 years in the care of others with various Ailments. I was attracted to this Field as a result of my Mother and Sisters involvement as well as my being a naturally caring person. I enjoy making a difference in the lives of my Clients.
