I became a caregiver because I have a big heart when it come to People. And what I like most about being a caregiver is: Making a difference in someone life. The smile on their faces Is so over whelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping others so I know I am doing the right thing. What I'm most proud of achieving is : What I have learned over the last 15 years as a caregiver has been lots and lots of hands on training, Starting out as my parents caregiver and other family members, as a young adult. I have learned some interesting things and it has just stuck with me, I guess one of the hardest things in health care is working with hospice especially when it is a family member. Lost my sister to Cancer a few years ago. Nothing is easy when it comes to cancer, but my sister was comfortable knowing I was there with her til the end. A little about me: When I was a little girl my mother worked in a nursing home same place for 16yrs, everyday after school I went to my mother work, Oh I thought I was a big shot, she would let me do little things for her patients and they just fell in love with me. And to see all those people with big smiles on their faces just made my day.. But the best part of it was when my mother always told me, your good with people and your here on earth for a good purpose. and I now know exactly what she meant.!! I moved From Texas to here in Phoenix Az, I development Breast cancer 2014 and wasn't able to work due to being so Fatigue from all the Chemo and the last 6-weeks of Radiation, As I got stronger I merge slowly back to working, I am proud of the woman I have become today and all I have achieved in my life time.

To be a caregiver is to care for someone with all of your heart and soul. I have taken the time to follow my heart and share a positive and understanding approach to others with a need. Each experience has such a great impact on one another. For each day while caring for someone I will look for the joy and hope with them. As I balance their health needs and all other needs for their safety and well being every moment I am with them.

I have been a caregiver for about 10 years. I love to help others and make them feel good about themselves. It is a great feeling to see others smile when I can help them with their ADLs.

I view caregiving as a calling and love to help people. I have assisted with companion care to end of life and everything in between. I am delegated for med management, delegated for g-tube feedings and care, experienced with memory care, physical disabilities, stroke, dementia, Parkinson's, hoyer lift and wheelchair, physical therapy, speech therapy, and light house keeping.

Right now I am in a class to get my CNA and I have had a few years of experience with family elders I love pets love cooking fancy looking meals and healthy ones. I will treat your family like they are mine with compassion and respect

Iam a very loving, kind,caring person i have been taking care of the elderly for 30+ year's, started out working in rest home as a cna I loved my job just didn't have enough time with all off my patients so I went into private care i love talking with the elderly and listen to there story's i just love what I do .

I am patient, caring, understanding, compassionate and loving. I care for your family members as if they were my family. I work with them to get them to become as independent as possible while assuring that they receive the care that they need. I have been a caregiver for 30 plus years. I understand they they could become agitated and that is ok... I have worked with many with: dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's,LGD, end of life , post surgery recovery , exercises daily, med reminders, companionship, meal prep, cooking, cleaning, showering, laundry... anything your family members need, I will do to make them comfortable and happy....

Hi, I'm Shelby! I started out 4 years ago, fixing to start nursing school and wanting experience before I started my journey. So I became a CNA! And I love it. I love caring for my patients and growing bonds with them. I plan on becoming either a Oncology nurse or a NICU nurse to help people or babies in need. Since I was a little girl, I've always been playing nurse and giving all of my babies check ups! I've spent a lot of time in busy hospitals working in the ICU, oncology floor, psych floor, ED, and physical therapy floors. I also LOVE home health care! I feel like I truly get to bond with my patients.
