What makes me a good caregiver is going above and beyond to make sure my patient is cared for like family. I became a Caregiver after my mom was diagnosed with cancer in 2000. I wanted my mom to have the best care so I became her personal caregiver. Caregiving is not just a job for me it's a passion, what I enjoy most about it is when my patients know they can rely on me and trust me . Making the families happy is my goal with each Patient I encounter. When my families are happy and feel like I'm a part of their family it let's me know I'm doing something right.
First of all I care about all patients and I would want someone to care for as they do themselves. Elderly need good people and I enjoy what I do. Personal achievement would be Certificate of Completion for a Direct Course College of Direct Support& College of Personal Assistance and Caregiving

I enjoy being a caregiver, having the ability and skills to take care of others is a blessing, I enjoy the companionship of talking or just listening. My experience and skills of a caregiver comes from my achievements of passing the CNA state test in 1995
I have been helping seniors and people with disabilities to remain healthy at home for the last seven years. I specialize in Eldercare, dementia, Alzheimer's and Hospice Care and am now living in the DFW area. I am a PCA and not affiliated with a home health agency but an individual and limited to a small number of clients. I serve a vital function in support of seniors and people with disabilities living independently in their homes, but who need assistance with daily tasks. There is of course frequent person-to-person contact in this job, and I become very important to my client and close to their family. I have worked in Hawaii, Oregon, New Mexico and Texas.

I am a caregiver with the big heart it takes to do this job. I am very caring & loyal with integrity. I am responsible & rearely miss work. I take my work serious. I know that i am a great caregiver because i watched my mom choose my grandmother's caregiver and when i had to choose a caregiver for my dad i used the same system and then when i became a caregiver 15 years ago i was blessed to be hired to take care of a husband & wife and i said the best way to be a great caregiver is to say treat someone like they are your loved ones. And i always do that. Helping people have the best quality of life regardless of circumstances is my mission statement.
What makes me a great caregiver its my drive to help out others. What got me into helping people is when i was younger i would go to my grandmothers on the weekends to help out with my uncle that had CP I would feed him bath him and i know for taking care of him. That helping people weather it be family are not I was going to be in heath care i just like butting a smile on people faces And to be able to learn about where people have been and the background. I just like talking to people getting to know them. I'm most proud of the things I have been though. Cause with out going though things you never know what life is about and where your going until you been though something
