I have been in the medical field for over 21 years. I have a passion for what I do and pride myself on enriching the lives of my clients. I love my career and the fact I can actually see and feel that I have made a positive impact on someone's life.I have extensive experience having worked with patients with many various ailments from Alzheimer's,dementia ,stroke, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, COPD,congestive heart failure, cancer, ventilation,TBI,paraplegic, wound care, palliative and hospice care , experience with documenting and filing long term insurance claims...etc I have excellent references which I would love to share with you. On a personal note I lost both my mother and sister to cancer in 2006 & 2008, I was the sole caregiver for both with the assistance of hospice in my home. I understand that it can feel very intrusive and stressful needing to have strangers in your home to help meet your needs or your loved ones needs. I strive to be as empathetic as possible by respecting and emulating the way you manage your household. Please contact me to determine if I would be a good fit for you.
Well I first worked at a camp for children and adults that were physically and intellectually disabled, and from then on I knew I wanted to help people. After that I went ahead and became a certified nursing assistant and worked in the nursing home. I was highly recommended and many patients family members want me to work privately after their love ones would get better and go home. I am a lover of people and feel we should as a human race be responsible for one another. I also have a phlebotomy certification and a commission security license.I have been in the field for 10+ and certified for 5.
I have been in healthcare for 14 years I have specialized in home health for the past 10 years my last client I was with her for over 6 years she was a cancer survivor and I was with her throughout her radiation and chemo treatments and helped her get through her cancer when she became very ill in her last stage of life I was with her then as wells when hospice was brought in so I specialize in hospice care as well as she is not my first patient on hospice care.
I believe I would be a great caregiver because I have experience with being a medical assistant which could be very helpful with caring for other people not only medically, but emotionally and physically as well. I am also very patient and able to get along with different personalities.

My name is Cassandra and I have been a medical assistant for about 21 years and a certified nursing assistant for 16 years. I have experience in hospital settings and clinics, from Oncology, Medical Surgical ,PCU and ER.I currently work at Texas Health hospital as a Patient Care Technician on the Medical Surgical unit. The main reason why I wanted to work in the healthcare field was to be able to help others. As a teenager, I was responsible for taking care of my grandparents when they were ill with cancer. I knew then, that was my calling to work with the public or do everything I could to make their lives a little bit happier. One of my personal achievement, was going back to school in my late 30's. My daughters were older( 11 & 16) when I went back to school at the age of 39. I was a little afraid in the beginning but after a few weeks, I was able to manage my time as a wife, mom and student. This summer (2015) I will be graduating with my A.A.of Arts degree from Collin College. When I'm not attending school part-time, I scrapbook and create slideshows for different occasions like family reunion, birthday parties, graduations and baby showers.
I enjoy working with people of all ages. I have a special place in my heart for the seniors if I'm being honest. I enjoy the companionship and all the stories. I am very dedicated to the work I do and I thrive to make everyone's life easy and their days and nights run as smoothly as possible. I'm very dependable, punctual, and reliable.
