I am a great caregiver because I'm very outgoing, have a loving and caring personality, compassionate about being a caregiver. I have been a caregiver for six years and cared for many individuals. The thing that attracted me to being a caregiver is that I love helping people. The thing I enjoy most is getting to know the individual and building a bond while helping them with there needs. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is when my grandma was diagnosed with dementia. I always heard about how things may happen / occur but actually dealing with this on a daily was something that was very hard. I was able to overcome all my fears especially dealing with a love one.

What makes me a great care giver is I love what I do and I love helping people. I have been working with the elderly for about 30yrs and there is no better job I rather be doing. When they're happy I'm happy.

I am attending Blinn College in Bryan, Tx. I currently have 2 majors, one in Fire Science to further my career as a Fire Fighter. My second major is in Child Psycology. I would love to work with special needs children. I also work for C. C. Creations as a Quality Control Specialist. I am also CPR and AED Certified. I just recently lost my grandmother due to complications from dementia. I took care of her for years. I cooked, cleaned, bathed and administered medication all while trying to keep her comfortable and happy. I am a very self-motivated person. I am driven by my need to better myself and help others. I absolutely love seeing people happy and successful in life, no matter who the person is. I love all music. I love to fish, hunt, and spend time with family and friends.

Hello! If you are reading this, first I would like to say it's nice to informally make your acquaintance. I know it can be very hard to find the right caregiver for your loved one. I have a sister with Autism who is low functioning and it was very hard to find a trustworthy caregiver as my parents got older. But I do want to let you know it's possible. If given the chance I can ensure you that your loved one would be treated as if she/he were my own sister. My first job in Home Health Care was when I was 20 years old with a man who had cerebral palsy. Not only was I his caregiver but we became friends through that 3 year experience. And that is what your loved one needs not someone who will just do their duties and go home but someone who is looking to care, to love and to be a friend. Since Home Health Care I have stayed in the education system working with young adults and children with special needs, both with physical and mental disabilities. I have 9 years of professional experience but I have a lifetime of personal experience with my own sister. I can only say so much, but if given the opportunity to work with your loved one I can definitely show you more than I can say it.
