I've been in nurse for 26yrs i love what I do for my seniors I worked in all types of fields work with all types of people I'm a certified CNA I love seeing there smiling faces when my job is done.

One of the reasons I started a career in the medical field was because I wanted a job where I felt that I was making a difference. I also wanted something that was hands on and would keep me busy. I enjoy taking care of people, whether that's by making a meal, cleaning a house, or making sure someone is taking their medication. I'm an intuitive and considerate person, with a quiet laidback personality. In my free time I mostly enjoy reading, going for walks, and learning new things (particularly about space exploration). I'm a great lover of food and find joy in little things.

I've been wanting to this for a while now I have experience from my mother who cared for a elderly women with cancer as well as a man too.

I became a caregiver because when i was about 9 years old, i seen my uncle in a nursing home & i didn't like the way it smelled & the way he was being treated. So i wanted to make a difference, that's when i knew as i got older i wanted to become a caregiver. What i enjoy the most about it is the stories I've been told & the families thanking me for taking care of there loved ones.

I am a Nurse Aide with over 10 years experience in caring for elderly and disabled clients. I am very outgoing, dependable, trustworthy compassionate. skill in schedule maintenance, dementia/Alzheimer's, companionship and daily living support. I also have my CPR certifications in BLS. I am CPR certified through red cross. Im also a certified PCA (personal care aide). I plan on going back to school to become an RN. Right now i take care of a 97 year old women on thursday, friday, saturday and every other sunday who is pretty healthy she just cant walk so shes either in bed or wheelchair. I have experience changing diapers, hower lift, repositioning, bed bath, medication reminder, helping someone who can somewhat walk use the bathroom and shower. I know how to cook and im 25 so im pretty active. Im available monday, tuesday and wednesday to work. My grandmother had Alzheimer's and I lived with her for 4 years so I have experience. My mother died from colon cancer so I know a lot about cancer first hand from my personal experience with my mother. I feel as though my mother did not get the help she needed just from being in a hospital all the time and when I look back I feel as though if she had that one on one help with someone to really care and take there time with her she would have lived longer which is why I like doing in home caregiving. My sister has muscular dystrophy so she's paralyzed from the chest down so I have experience with that. I have a 3 year old son named Charles and he is my world. I am a very patient and understanding person. My heart goes out to people and it's something that I've never been able to change I'm just very good at putting myself in someone else's shoes. I am very reliable, committed and trustworthy. I'm eager to learn more and always try to do my best. What makes me a great caregiver is she love to help people. I enjoy meeting new people and being there to make them feel better. Being a CNA has been one of my best jobs.
