Hello everyone my name is Teanna Murphy, I have 9 years of expert experience in the medical field. I hold many titles/hats. To go down the list I am a CNA, med aide, aba clinician, companion, direct support professional and professional pizza lover. I have worked in facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, group homes(youth and adults) , jails, asylums etc. You name it I've done it. I treat my residents like I would like my family members to be treated.I watched the caregivers that took care of my Dad during his final stages of life ..they were kind, loving and patient.and because I was there to witness this The lord put it on my heart to do the same, to give back and help others..he gave me the heart for it. I became a caregiver because I love working with senior citizens. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I can assist them in their daily tasks, encourage them to follow doctors directives, and take medication on regularly scheduled times. I also like to make sure they follow their dietary requirements, engage in limited physical activities and if healthy enough go out on outings; I have worked with clients all over Richmond and welcome meeting new challenges. I am the mother of two, recently married and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I aspire to learn more to aid in providing optimal care for the client and to be as compassionate as possible when working with other senior citizen population.

I became a caregiver because I was already going to pursue a career in the medical field, and I wanted to get a feel for being in a medical environment. The enjoyable part about being a caregiver is getting experience working with around patients and other medical professionals. A personal achievement I am proud of is getting my CNA license in the 11th grade. With that license, It has taken me one step further into the medical field and has also encouraged me to pursue a medical career in the first place. A little something about myself is that I am very charismatic and people tend to take comfort in me because of my positive personality.

I became a CNA because I enjoy helping others and find the work mentally and physically satisfying. I like getting to know the patient and learning about their life, some are quite the character! It is never dull and even with the repetition of routine there is always something different going on. I am proud of the fact I passed my state CNA exam on the first try, most do not so that was quite gratifying. I recently took my state test for medication aide and am now certified in that as well.

I became a caregiver by chance, but once I helped my first patient and saw the difference I made in her life I was hooked. I go above and beyond for my patients. I like to think that me being there for them makes their life a little better for them. I have great work ethic. Being on time for my job is something I'm proud of. I received training as CNA in CT, I live in VA now and haven't gone to school for certification here, but I am certified in CT.
