I am very compassionate about this kind of work. I have 2 1/2 years of experience with working in a nursing home, assisted living home, and as a home care provider. My mother has been a caregiver for 20 years and so I guess it's in our genes to want to help people! I have a huge heart and I care about helping folks who need a little extra help or even just companionship. I enjoy building relationships with each of my clients. I think the most important part of this job is to listen and to be their support system and provide the best companionship as possible. I am proud that I have decided to choose caregiving as my career path because it's natural for me to want to care for folks. An achievement that I have done is I care for family who always requested me to come work for them because I am a quick learner and go the extra mile!

I have been a caregiver for children and vulnerable adults for over 10 years. I have my HCA, CPR and First Aide, Nurse Delegation, my own transportation, know that everybody has different needs and try to do my best at listening and understanding what those needs are! A few things about me that makes me an amazing caregiver is that not only do I believe to still give them there Independence in a safe manor but I also care deeply from my heart and try my best to always get all there needs complete. One thing that made me interested in being a caregiver was when I was 10 I used to go to my great grandpas retirement home and help out with everyone. I enjoyed it so much, seeing there faces when I would help with something or just sit and listen made me feel like I won a million dollars. It's the most rewarding thing in life is to give back as much as I can to others that have done so much in life. One of the most enjoyable things as a caregiver is completing a goal that boosts up there confidence. When I first meet someone and they have alot of trouble with something, I help work on it and once I see the progress and smile on there face it makes me so happy to see them happy. That's all I strive to do is make it easier and happier for them . A professional Achievement I have had is that I have been a caregiver for 5 years and havent once had a horrible experience. I have gotten so much knowledge and have been through tons of experience I feel like nothing is too difficult for me to achieve. Seeing people and there families happy truthfully is an achievement itself.

My goal as a care giver is to provide quality of life to all who need it. Provides compassionate care, focuses on clients ability to stay in there home to end of life process.

I had always work with customers in a store setting. That just wasn't challenging enough for me. I wanted to do more, help more. I had an opportunity to take care of my grandmother when she became ill. It was the greatest feeling to be able to put a smile on her face while helping her. It just felt right knowing I was helping in a way that she was able to do by herself anymore. But with my help she was still able to enjoy the life she deserved.

Hello, my name is Sharlene. I've been a care giver for over 7 years, started out in a nursing home as a nursing assistant.
