Personally i have empathy and compassion to people with various condition like,pple with disability due to impairement,sickly pple who need my assistance. What i enjoy most,is when i give care to the client and help them gain their self confidence and treat them equally and with respect and by the end of the day is rewarding to see that person happy and fulfilled.

I will proudly say that I'm a patient gentleman and Patience is a great way to derive success in many aspects of life. Having in mind that caregiving can be challenging sometimes, I derived success in caregiving by exercising patients and kindness towards my clients. I started caregiving by taking care of my own mother, when I saw how happy she feels by having me around, I felt blessed doing it and when she passed, I extended the same compassion to others. I really enjoy it when I notice that I have made a positive impact on the life of my client; I can remember being called God sent by the wife of one of my clients; the gentleman returned home after spending months at the hospital and rehab, he lost his ability to walk and speak. after I was called in as a caregiver, he regained his mobility and speech because we had to engage with him not just as a client but as a loved one...

I would like to help people to be healthy. At their ages I want them to feel they are important people ,make them more strong ,and comfortable! I have been taking care of my Father who suffered from stroke for 10 years back in the Philippines, being one of his caregivers. I was also his Physical Therapist. We moved here in the US 5 years ago, and I have worked as a caregiver , then transitioned to work in the Med Room as a Medication Technician at Maple Glen Assisted Living in Shelton, WA. I consider it a calling given the opportunity to work there. I am a people person and loves taking care of elderly. I treat them as family and I enjoy listening to their stories, and attending to their needs. Having a Physical Therapy background, and with experience in home health, clinical, and hospital settings, I could offer different types of assistance based on the needs. I consider my time at Maple Glen as one of my career achievements. I love all of the residents and I became The Employee of the Month in less than a year. Being a caregiver is a calling for me. I am proud to be one and I enjoy doing it! It is not an easy job but coming from a Filipino family surrounded by big hearted love ones, I carry it wherever I go, and I live up to the values my parents had taught me, which I am passing on to my daughter and son.

Hello! I am currently a Home Care Aid in the Shelton area, and I work with a variety of clients young and older. I love working with children, and I am going to school to become a chemical dependency counselor and hope to work with youth at risk. I am CPR certified, smoke free, and have my own vehicle. Also, very pet friendly! I have two dogs of my own, and they do ride in my car occasionally (just In case anyone has allergies).
