Some personality traits or expertise that I have that helped me be a great caregiver is being a good listener , being patient, and also knowing when to step away when needed. What attracted me to being a caregiver was that growing up I always took cared of my grandparents so once I got older and started looking for a job I applied at a inhome care job and feel in love with help people that need help , I also grow a big relationship with them and love knowing I can make someone day a lot better by just being there and helping them with there day to day lives. I got into caregiving as a fluke and instantly fell in love with it and the people that I have been able to help and care for. I am currently a college student at Mendocino College pursuing my goal to become an RN-Registered Nurse. I am a fun spirited individual who loves being around people and making people feel good and or better even when that day may not be a good day for them. Throughout school of wanting to become a nurse I chose to get my CNA license so that I would be able to get more experience within the career path that I have chosen, but throughout my journey of schooling and working at a care home I realized that being there for your patients and assisting them with their ADL's is the best feeling that I could have experienced while being a CNA. A personal achievement I am proud of is accomplishing as much as I have while only being 19 years old and that I am passionate about the things that I do.
