Approximately 15 years ago, I became my mother's Caregiver after she came home from Rehab for a major stroke. After working in a Family Medical office for a couple years, I began my Caregiver career. In the past 10+ years, I have worked as a Home Health Aide and CNA, providing many services to families and their loved ones, including (but not limited to) Alzheimers, Dementia, Quadriplegic, and Hospice Care. Services provided include companionship, transportation, meal prep, feeding, light housekeeping, pericare, input/output, taking and recording vitals, catheter care, colostomy care, medication reminders, assistance with bathing, showers, dressing, transfers, wound care maintenance, and oxygen maintenance. My special focus has been with Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I am a CNA and certified in CPR and First Aid, and continue to work on completing additional medical courses and pursue avenues to help strengthen me as a Professional Caregiver. I also maintain current Individual Professional Liability Insurance. Your loved ones peace of mind, comfort and health is my priority.

I love working with elderly people, they make my days go by fast and I have fun with it. I love helping my clients with things they can't do. I also go out of my way, to make sure their experience is as great as mine was with them.

I am new to Carelinx but not new to caregiving. I helped care for my mother for almost five years until she passed away at 90. I always enjoyed doing the extras that made her feel better and brightened her days. I also helped to raise my two grandchildren since my son became a single father when they were very young.

St. Elizabeth Hospice for 8 years providing Palliative, Respite and End of life care in the patients home and Inpatient settings. Currently working in a outpatient clinic as a Certified Hemodialysis Patient care Technician providing hemodialysis under the supervision of a RN.

I have cared for my family and family friends for years. All, I want to do is help those who can't help themselves like they use to do. The way my mother cared for me when, I was young. She gave me the heart to care for others. The smiles on their faces when i can make them happy. Seeing my family walk again after their knee surgeries.

I am patient, can listen and adapt to different personalities. I enjoy understanding how a patient feels and putting myself in their place. I wanted to be a caretaker to help as many people as I can. I love meeting new people and helping out wherever I can. I enjoy being a companion to a patient and helping out any way I can. A personal achievement I am proud of is when my patient was angry at me for 2 months because she has Alzheimer's and thought I had locked her out, I apologized many times everyday until she realized she had been angry for no reason and apologized. I was very happy for not becoming angry even when she was yelling and apologizing many times although I hadn't done anything wrong. My ability to understand where she was mentally helped me to grow and care even more about her.

I am a caring and compassionate person. I enjoy working with family's and individual care. I have been doing this since I was younger in homes, and recently got my CNAs and am currently employed in a skilled nursing facility. I love my job and my individuals. I love getting to know the individuals and forming relationships with them. I got into home care because I wanted to help, I wanted to be there for people who needed it. Hi my name is Julie:) I became a caregiver after helping my own parents. I have been caregiving for over 10 years. I didn't realize there were so many people in need. I have learned so much and continue learning. I'm so passionate about caregiving for I also was in a wheelchair the first years of my life as a child. Now I'm healthy and strong, but I know what it feels like to be dependent on people and my best strength is to anticipate your needs before you have to ask. I lived in California all my life. I just moved to Kentucky. I took care of my beautiful mom and a wonderful lady for over 6 years. They both passed away within 6 months of each other, broke my heart to pieces. I have family in Kentucky and decided to move. I've been here 2 weeks and ready to start my life.
