I am a caring and loving caregiver. I have taken care of my own elderly family members for extended periods of time and have worked in-home health care. I have always found it rewarding and life-enriching to have the opportunity to assist people who need assistance in different areas. I love building relationships with people from all backgrounds. I have a servant's heart and I think that is why I love doing this so much, because I love serving people right in their own homes.

Some of my personal traits and being a caregiver is my love for the job. I have always love to help people regardless of the situation and there is a shortage on good people and honest people. What attracted me to being a caregiver was my great grandmother and my mom. When my great grandmother got very ill we took care of her until her last days that meant feeding bathing changing colostomy bag changing catheter And just being a companion. I also help my mom take care of a autistic girl for five years. The thing I love most about being a caregiver is the people you meet along the way and a wonderful stories you hear. When I look at my mother I know one day she may or may not be in a situation to need me so I want plenty of practice along the way. One of my biggest achievement was graduating from the phlebotomy school last year. My other biggest achievement is continuing to take care of my special needs son and my other job while balancing out life and everything around me

I am a 54 years old from Banjul the Gambia W/Africa I came to the US since 1992 with my family,then in 1993 I started as a .HHA and then become as a CNA in 1994 I like to help people that's what makes be join the home care field I am license and certified I worked with Alzheimer's, Dementia and Hospice patients .

I'm a caring person who loves people. I love meeting new people. And listening to people stories about life. I've achieved over 20 plus years working healthcare.

In 2019 my grandmother was diagnosed with bladder cancer, shortly after her starting chemo she began to get extremely sick. During this transition me and my mother were her caregivers. We performed all of her hygiene needs , medical needs and gave her the companionship and comfort that she needed. She passed away August 22nd of 2020 which led me to want to become a caregiver and care for those that were in her shoes.

I am a mother of 4 (lord do they keep me busy) I love being a caregiver. I've been a CNA for 10 years now and I admire elderly people. I realized that this was my career choice once I sat and held many elderly hands and became their family. The bonds are sometimes short lived but they are worth it. I'm a talker and I love laughing. I can't go a day without making someone else smile, no matter how I'm feeling. I am the live definition of a people person.!

I love being a caregiver. I had taken care of my grandmother for a long time before she passed so it's always been in my heart to care for people. I graduated dental school, I love to make people happy!
