I'm a person that likes to help others, I'm someone that is compassionate, quick learner, dependable, and caring. I got in this field because of my great grandmother and grandmother, taking care of them showed me that this is what I wanted to do. To help people, to make them feel good and help them with they daily routine. My goal right now is to finish my studies and become a register nurse.

I became highly interested in the health care field because I knew I could make a positive difference in people's lives. I am great people's person that is well outspoken. I am fast paced as well as a quick learner, and always on time or earlier for work. I am a very positive person with a goal in my life that will be achieved. I am a very patient, loving and caring person with a passion for helping people in need. I love to be depended on and I love meeting new people and learning new things. I'm a great caregiver and very passionate about it. I'm a mom to 5, 7 siblings and I've always been looked upon to care for everyone in my family. I believe that God has this in my calling and for 5years now I've given my client unconditional love and support and we became a family.

I have always been more mature for my age. I grew up as an only child, only hanging around adults. I have always had a caring personality and when I was 18 after I graduated high school I started working as a CNA at an adult day care, caring for geriatrics with dementia. I fell in love with them. They may not be able to remember your name or their own name but they can tell you stories about their childhood that bring warmth to your heart. I am very good at caring for geriatrics, making them feel comfortable in embarrassing situations for them (bathing, changing soiled linen) because they still deserve dignity and respect which I make sure they know they have the upmost respect. Some geriatric patients have a hard time with caregiving because they have literally give up every ounce of independence they used to have which is hard to cope with. My personality is very smiley and happy around geriatrics which makes them feel better. I also have a very loud voice which is an advantage with geriatrics since most are hard of hearing, they can hear me because I tend to speak loudly. I am an RN however I love being a caregiver too. I am very good at caring for people, making them feel comfortable, I am very easy to talk to and educating on medical information also.

I have successfully completed a training program and state examination at Morning Star Academy-School of Allied Health in Rockville, MD in 2012. Outside of homecare, my hobbies include taking care of my 3 yo son, practicing special effects makeup, painting and drawing. Previously, I worked in long-term care facilities located in Virginia. I have been working in homecare consistently since 2015. My experience in homecare has been rewarding and less stressful. I love working closely with families and clients to make sure their care and companionship needs are met. I am able to adapt quickly to different working environments. As a former employee of Snakemans Tattoo Studio I learned the importance of sterilization, blood borne pathogen safety, and customer service. I also learned the value of communication, critical thinking skills, time management, and teamwork while working as a CNA at Golden Living Center and Shenandoah Valley Westminster Canterbury (SVWC). I enjoy helping others. I started part-time about 15 years old working with mentally challenged, down syndrome clients and individuals. Then later I provided care for my 86 year old mother in law whom lived with me until her demise @ 89. I now work @ The Arc of Baltimore providing care and support to individuals.
