I started my career of caregiving In 1983 where I provided in home care for an elderly lady for 18 months. In 1984 I worked for Minnesota DHS with developmentally disabled persons. In 1989 I began working for the Minnesota DOC until I retired in 2020. I love to help people achieve their goals and I really enjoy seeing people happy. I am currently teaching myself some wood working, furniture refinishing and some art.

I remembered growing up wanting to be a surgeon. I didn't end up being a surgeon but I knew I have a huge heart to care for people. I'm passionate with what I do. I'm funny and enjoy good conversations. I'm such a good listener and also love advocating for people. I'm very reliable and honest. I'm patient and can handle just about anything. Hello, my name is Jerry. I've been working as a certified HCA (caregiver) for 4 years. I am certified in the state of California. I recently relocated to Owatonna. Most of my experience is with dementia and hospice care. But I've worked in many different situations, Group homes, and floor coverage in memory care assisted living facilities. I've also worked with handicapped people and people with severe mental and physical developmental disabilities. ( I am also a certified DSP in CA), I have been thoroughly background-checked by each of the two agencies that I received most of my clients from. I have a completely clean record, and a clean driving record too. I love this job very much. I am reliable and honest, and I always have a very calm and friendly demeanor, which is why I work very well will elderly people. That's my favorite. But I am perfectly happy taking care of younger people too.

Hi, I have a lot of experience with being a caregiver for the elderly. I have worked with hospice clients and also dementia clients. I have even worked with just assisted living clients helping with basic cares. I am very passionate about being a care taker. I am pursuing a degree in nursing. I have always loved knowing that someone's loved one is being taken care of. To me it's nice to be able to provide that break for the family so they can be family and not the caregiver. I love being able to communicate with family and the client. Also, I love the bond that it all comes with. I am currently working for a company where I am a caregiver for individuals with disabilities in their home. I have experience with cooking, bathing, dressing, administering medications, going on outings, running errands, and more! I love the relationships that I am so grateful to gain from caring for individuals who need extra support, assistance, or even just companionship.

I relate well to people, I'm very down to earth and easy to talk to. I did healthcare in high school & after I had my first child. I've worked in an Emergency Room as a PCA/HUC. I was an EMT on my local ambulance for 5 years. I also was a health assistant for 5 years assisting the school nurse.
