I'm a very social person. I enjoy helping and being there for others. I'm caring and take my job seriously when it comes to my clients whether it be the family or the client themselves. I enjoy the outdoors and going for walks and of course listening to my clients talk about what they like. I also enjoy engaging with my clients in games for cognition. I've worked with clients who have Alzheimer's and/or Dementia for over 14 years as a Memory Care Director and caregiver and have enjoyed every moment. I chose to be a caregiver because I wanted to have that one to one time with a client. I've met some wonderful families and clients over the years and enjoy seeing the smiles on their faces when they see their loved ones enjoying life again. The one achievement I am proud of is when I took the first step into becoming a Memory Care Director/Caregiver. My life has only been blessed because of the choice I made.

My name is Angie Brown, I have experience working in skilled facilities and also assisted living. For the last few years I have been doing home health care. I love being able to help families out and hopefully make a difference, its a very rewarding feeling, I'm proud of the way i take care of my clients and treat them with respect and provide them with the best care possible, I am covid vaccinated and cpr certified.

I am a very generous, empathetic, sensitive person, amongst other nice traits. What attracted me to be a caregiver is seeing as how many people in my family that's needed help along with other people I know. I enjoy most about being a caregiver is seeing the smile on people's faces when I show up to help them. My personal achievement that I am proud of is being able to help other people making people happy and knowing that I was able to do that.

My name is Jane I'm 54 years old. Recently retired from UPS in Naples Fl. I've been married for over 26 years had 2 children. I took care of my first born when he was diagnosed with Cancer until he passed away when he was 5. My daughter is 18 and attended Appalachian State. My husband works at Avery tire , retired as well after 30 years at his own shop. We are full time here in Avery County for about 5 years now. I've found my home here. As we have been coming here since 1997. Our son was diagnosed at Sloop Memorial in Crossnore which is now a Children's home. I love to garden and some wood working. I am a huge animal lover.

I love being a Caregiver and assisting the elderly. I have experience with Alzheimer's Disease patients, assisting with mobility and personal care, preparing meals, light housekeeping, companionship, errands, and transportation to and from appointments. I really enjoy being with the elderly and hearing their stories. I know that I make a positive impact on their quality of life. I also really enjoy taking care of my patient's pets and getting to know their family members.

I'm very dependable, being a caregiver is something I'm very comfortable doing. I treat every resident I have with respect and keep them safe under my care. I've done this type of work 4 in a half years.

What attracted me to be a caregiver is the need for more community outreach. To be able to help residents in my community who fall under our "underserved" population to educate and help them better understand the help that they are entitled to!!

Taking care of the elderly is my passion I like seeing my clients happy well loved and cared for, I've always been this way. I enjoy when I walk out the door they are happy smiling and have had a great experience in the time we've spent together. If I can do this then I feel my Dad is looking down smiling and proud of me, I was blessed to be able to take care of him at home when he was diagnosed with Dementia until he passed.
