I have worked around the world and have many friends and acquaintances with varying degrees of limitations and family backgrounds. I feel I am well versed in communicating and getting along with individuals of any background. I feel it is important to give our elders the feeling of being wanted and capable of living the lifestyle they are most comfortable with.

I have worked in the Human Services Field for over 25 years. I have worked with Developmental Diabled individuals, was a Foster Care Service Coordinator, a counselor for children and adults in a Psychiatric Hospital, Social Worker in a Nursing Home Facility and currently work in the Medicaid NHTD & TBI Waiver Programs in upstate New York. Assisting others, that has been my goal for the past 25 years. After losing my father to Parkinson's I have spent the last 10 years working with my community's seniors; initially within a Nursing Home Facility, and currently helping seniors obtain services in the home to avoid Nursing Home Placement.

I am a very compassionate woman. I understand that every person deserves individual care that meets their individual needs. I am attracted to helping a person live their best life as much as possible. I enjoy being able to make a persons day better by me being there for them. One personal achievement I am proud of is helping a former client, whom had cancer become stronger and more full of life than before I entered his life!

I have worked in healthcare for the past eight years, and I believe my compassion, patience, and reliability are what make me a great caregiver. My mom inspired me to pursue this career after watching her work in healthcare for nearly 30 years while also caring for my brother, who has disabilities. I enjoy building relationships with the people I care for and making a positive difference in their daily lives. I've been working in the health care field for 24years. I have wonderful references and great experience. I was with a family for 8 and a half years. Now I'm working with the in-laws of that family. I've worked for a judge for 5 years and now I'm with a younger woman that I've been with for almost 6 years.

Hi..My name is Tammy. Im 49yra old and a mother of 3 grown daughters..I have two beautiful grand babies Well not babies they are 4 and 5 but babies to me.I am a certified CNA and I started at age 19..but took care of my grandparents and that's where I started my journey..I have started classes for cultivation tech and still do Cna or HHA work for I still love the work but just needed a change.

What drew me to this field initially was when my grandmother had a heart attack. There are some good hospitals in florida (where I lived at the time) but majority are poor quality. Unfortunately, my grandmother ended up in one that wasn't great quality. At 16 years old, I stayed in her hospital room, sleeping on the floor, to ensure that if she needed to toilet, I could help her. I helped bathe her, and spent time with her. I did tasks that a CNA should have been performing, but it was the best thing for her because it gave her a sense of dignity in a moment of her life that was hard enough as it was. I have been working towards getting my RN completed ever since; while this goal has still not been accomplished, I am working towards it. Family is important to me, as I'm sure it is to you for your loved one. I am a single mother of 2 boys, recently divorced. I am a hard worker, and very passionate about what I do. I take my time where it matters, and recognize that there is always room for education and improvement.

I am a dependable caring and compassionate person with a good sense of humor. I enjoy helping people , especially love to cook. I've been working with people young and older with many different levels of intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities. I find it very rewarding when peoples hopes and dreams are met.
