I knew I wanted to take care of people when my grandpa was sick when I was in 6th and 7th grade. Visiting him in the nursing home and hospital pushing him around and making him smile was the best feeling ever. I decided to go to Lawrence County Vo-tech for my 11th and 12th grade year to become a CNA and started working my senior year in November 2008. In 2012 I left that job to go to the facility my grandma resided in until she was well enough to go home which was about 2.5 years, and continued to work until I moved in 2016 I currently am working for St. Barnabas now as a hospice aide part time. I recieved an award for employee of the month in August from them. Overall, I enjoy helping care for people, and make them feel good about themselves. A smile of appreciation in return is so rewarding.

Overall I am a very outgoing person and I love to help people when I am able. I am patient with my clients and a good listener. Being a caregiver is important to me because although my major is for early childhood, taking care of people is something that i enjoy doing no matter the age. One personal achievement I am proud of would be making the deans list in my first year of college.

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoy taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders. To be a good caregiver requires patience, loyalty and reliability.

Hello my name is anatasha but I go by Tasha. I just want to let you know a little bit about me. I am very loving, caring, compassionate, hard working, and reasonable. Ever since I can remember I have always loved helping other people out. I have always made sure that everyone else is taken care of before I take care of myself. Growing up my brother had autism along with a couple of my cousins. I loved helping them and saw no difference between them and myself. Once I got to high-school I knew I wanted to help with the program we had that was for students that had a disability or had trouble learning the material being taught. I always wanted to make sure life was easier for them and help them accomplish the thing that they wanted to. It is just the best feeling and such a reward being able to help someone who needs it. Being a caregiver isn't just about working and getting paid, it is about building a relationship with a client and making them feel good about themselves and letting them accomplish what they need to or what they have always wanted to. It's about making things easier for them and making sure they get everything out of life that they wanted.

I have been in the Healthcare 15+ years. I take great pride in what I do. I recently worked at St. Johns in Mars for 7 years. I love working with the elderly, sick, dementia & all phases pertaining to health field. I have experience with dementia, ventilator patients, alzheimers etc..I get such joy helping & caring for all types of health related illnesses.
