I'm a very compassionate caring person I'm been doing homecare for 35 years ot has always been my passion to help others in need because I feel I might be that someone someday, I've always gone over and beyond for my clients it's the little things that's done for a client that means so much something as simple as cleaning their glasses for them etc...I'm walking in my moms footsteps she taught me how to be not only a caregiver but be the best caregiver you can be someone is watching and I've always stood by what I was taught. Experience in ADL care, Dementia , Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, OT and PT exercise, and diabetes. I have been doing caregiving for 15 yrs. I have been in the healthcare field for 20 years. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver? I have always liked being around the elderly. I volunteered for meals on wheels for four years. And in those four years. I got a one on one experience of the needs of the elderly. I get to help the elderly keep their dignity and there Independence . And stay in their own home where they feel safe.

Growing up as a child, I helped my grandmother with her medical needs and that is what inspired me to get in the medical field. Caring for other people makes me feel valued. I have wonderful relationships with my clients. While I am doing their ironing or washing the floor, we're laughing and chatting. They enjoy telling me their stories, sometimes from years ago and I get pleasure from listening to them. I enjoy being a caregiver is because I'm helping people who can't physically help there self. Hey my name is Jatisha Odom ! I'm located in the murfreesboro area and willing to travel to smyrna, I've been in the caregiving field since i graduated in 2012 I've always had a passion in helping others , i helped out a lot with kids with disabilities while i was attending high school and it just grew on me . I know this job requires a lot of patiences and tolerance for challenging situations and i just love this type of work i took a four year break because i got pregnant and become a stay at home mom to my beautiful daughter but i was off work for awhile all my certificates expired but i plan to get my first aid and cpr certification back active and at the first of the year i plan to take my CNA classes to get my licenses here soon and add that to my profile I'm just looking for a great placement to pick back up on all of this but I'm very familiar with a lot of stuff as far as taking my clients to there appointments, doing the house needs, bathing, feeding , hospice, Hoyer lift etc. Whatever you name I've pretty much done it all and has dealt with a lot of clients with different disabilities and health problems . I'm a easygoing and energetic caregiver. Learning routines, meaning learning the way my patients/clients and theirs families would like things to be done is what made me a great caregiver.
