I set out years ago to become a business professional, but somewhere along the way, I discovered that my true calling was in healthcare. What I do has never felt like just a job to me--it is a passion deeply rooted in caring for others and making a difference in their lives. My journey in caregiving actually began when I was just 12 years old, helping care for my grandmother after she broke both of her legs. That experience sparked something in me that never went away. Over the years, that compassion grew into a career and has given me many years of hands-on experience caring for and supporting others. I have always had an especially soft spot for the elderly. There is something incredibly meaningful about being trusted to care for someone who has spent a lifetime caring for others. I cherish hearing their stories, learning about the lives they have lived, and taking the time to know them as individuals--not simply as someone who needs care. To me, caregiving is about so much more than meeting someone's physical needs. It is about dignity, patience, companionship, trust, and helping someone maintain as much independence and quality of life as possible. Throughout my years in healthcare, I have been blessed to care for many wonderful people and build relationships with their families. I often say caregiving feels like being gifted with extended family members along the way. That trust is something I value deeply and will never take for granted. Healthcare may not have been where I originally planned for my career to take me, but I truly believe it is where I was meant to be.

I pay close attention to details about caregiving and when it comes to being hands on and helping others I have always had the idea of helping others even when others can't return the favor or can't do things on their own so that's what has made me motivated to being a caregiver Having to learn about other people and learning how to take care of them and how it goes That I can understand how to become self centered and understand anything that comes to me or at me

I'm a hard working compassionate and enthusiastic individual. I love what I do. I have been in caregiving for the last 6 years which has been nothing but an excellent experience. I pride myself on providing care that is not only essential but care that we can both enjoy.

My core is built on a foundation of integrity and kindness. Communication and people advocating is my best traits. Ii have always been a caregiver by watching my Mom use her skill as an X-Ray technician to help her friends and family after working her hospital shift. She has always lead by doing without recognition. Helping others is a privilege not a burden. Later in life, I was referred to be a caretaker for Ms. Martha who really empowered me to serve and understand where the client is coming from. She was in a wheelchair and my role was to get her ready for the day while learning how she wanted to be served. By the end of our journey together, I was the receiver of her principles of love and integrity to others. She was the gift. My personal achievement: I am proud of myself for raising 1 daughter and two sons. They too are considerate of others by lending a hand and being respectful to everyone no matter if you are raised differently. They embrace different cultures and are excited to learn more about people's stories. Eye contact and speaking clearly demonstrates their sincere appreciation for the skill of communicating. Today, I learn from them about how to have courage to try something new and grow through it. Being uncomfortable is a good thing.

Hello, my name is Marie Narramore. I'm a mother of 5 and a nene of 7. I've done caregiving off and on since 1999. I love caring for the ones that can no longer do so for themselves or the ones that just need an extra hand and a ear that always listens. I'm dedicated they say to never get close to the ones you take care of but that's a bond like no other.
